'Joe Biden's transgender health secretary has praised an Alaska gender-affirming care clinic which wants the word 'mother' replaced with the phrase 'egg producer.' '

This is the website of the clinic:

https://www.identityalaska.org/

'While there are no surgeries being done on children below the age of 13, there are puberty blockers given to children prior to the time they reach puberty.
[Levine] also revealed that she is glad she waited so long to transition because it allowed her to have a family.
'I have no regrets because if I had transitioned when I was younger then I wouldn't have my children. I can't imagine a life without my children,' Levine said during a 2019 speech about gender care.''

I wonder how Dr Levine's egg-producer feels about all this.

@nepeta
Why not? We’ve had several waves of TRAs insisting Wollstonecraft very definitely absolutely wrote about gender. Mysteriously they can’t ever come up with a single quote though. I mean, presumably because she used that pesky word “sex”, not “gender”, but still. A rewrite for our times is clearly called for.
There is something deeply creepy about that divorcing language of “when the infant exits the womb”. Removing the other human from the childbirth equation is all kinds of disturbing; & dehumanising birthing mothers is just not a road that should be gone down!

'when the infant exits the womb'
sounds like a motorway turnoff. I did have a bad experience on the Paris version of the M25 about 10 years ago. But it was a lot less .... biological and personally affecting than childbirth.
