Not quite sure what is going on here but it would seem from WeAreFairCop that something that never happens may well be

Can this be reported to the local Social Services as a safeguarding issue? Aren't they then obliged to investigate?

Does this man have a valid DBS certificate?

He put up his website in 2018 and advertised that his DBS check was available for inspection on request. I hope that they did go to the trouble to check it.

From what I can see from Companies House he had a grant to buy in professional help setting up the business in 2018. It is the normal sort of thing for someone setting up a Business.

He paid someone nearly £10k for "Professional Services".

He had further grants from the National Lottery in 2019 (£9,900) and 2020 (£9,944) for specific projects:

Ugh this just makes my skin crawl. It’s all so fucked up.

Indeed...and the fact that Social Services allowed him to adopt 2 children...they're as bad as the police in my opinion.

I had to zoom in to read the letter; I recommend people read the views that these parents had and tried to communicate.

He sicced police on parents of autistic children for saying that??

fuck me. How could anyone reading that letter not suspect those parents have a point? Why aren’t the police investigating him?

I wonder about the children he’s adopted. Are they autistic? Nonverbal?

This is a Ted talk he gave about 2 years ago. He's obviously had a troubled background but I'm not sure that is a qualification for talking/ advising children.

A lot of mental health challenges, clearly.

He said detachment disorder; I think he may mean attachment disorder? Common among children who've been abused at a young age, sadly.

What he's ommitted is that it's clear from his Facebook page that he is / was an ambassador for a brand of fidget toys/ chews called 'chewigem' which is how the business seems to have started out.

At the same time, his more recent actions and responses to queries about his suitability to volunteer ? Work with? autistic children aren't appropriate or suitable for the responsibility of the role.

Mentions a Foundation degree in engineering, not a full degree. Still, seems to have done extremely well there.

Telling your story is one thing; working with children is another. Not everyone who wants to work with children, should.

I don’t know where to start with this. It’s a total head fuck.
