Which brand of period pants are not lost to the woo?

I’m needing to buy some period pants for my daughter. Can someone remind me which brands are aware women and girls have periods and which to avoid?

My problem on this one is that having tried many brands, modi bodi are the ones that work best. It is a fight between my principles on gender, the environment and my desire not to leak all over my clothes.

They're just people who make pants.

They get marketing people in who tell them they need to be open to all the gender stuff or they'll alienate younger customers who buy into that stuff.

The proportion of the period pants-buying public that supports trans rights out numbers the proportion that are gender critical. It's just sound business.

They're only pants.

Have you looked at Hey Girls? I got a free pair via work, they're really comfortable and don't leak.

In retrospect, have just read more sections of their website and see that they are also lost to the woo 🙄

I think you're focusing on the wrong thing.

Many brands of period pants have been found to have some questionable chemicals in them recently- you should be starting your search with PFAS free pants.

How interesting that women’s and girls health is gambled with in this way.

It’s almost as if your sex matters and possibly just possibly no one gives a fuck about female health.

Suddenly the definition of woman becomes important.

@AuntieJune ... well.. I am not sure we can categorically say that
'The proportion of the period pants-buying public that supports trans rights out numbers the proportion that are gender critical'..

I am gender critical. I would prefer toilets to be segregated by sex and would prefer female language to be used when discussing periods. However, I welcome the range of non stereotypical underwear that meets my needs and that of my daughter.

Reusable is important to me, as is limited toxicity. Many of the brands have been less than clear on the materials in the moisture wicking and odour minimising elements of their products. Many brands have also aligned themselves with mermaids and offer gender free products. Sister republic have appeared on the market since I made my purchases. Cheeky wipes have also significantly expanded their range.

I have bought from wuka and modibodi ... despite feeling uncomfortable with some of their marketing.

Rip up an old towel into strips for light days? Admittedly my teen aghast, but isn't that the least toxic option?
