Sturgeon has updated her member's interests - £75k for first instalment for her book.

Assuming the advance is evenly split 4 x £75k, she'll need to sell 107,000 hardbacks or 235,000 paperbacks to earn back the advance. So more thank all prime minister memoirs except for Tony Blair's.

Nitpicking, I know, but will she herself need to sell that number of copies, or will the publisher?

If the latter, who is this sucker of a publisher? Because I have a book I can offer them.

@Chersfrozenface her publisher ultimately will need to sell them - so if they don't sell enough to make the advance back, that is on them - the author gets to keep the advance.

That's what I was counting on

Just need to concoct an advance-attracting blurb.

If party funds can be used to buy a campervan maybe they can also be used to pay for a load of books. They can even be stored in the van when no-one wants them.
