@Isthisreasonable 🤣 I think we’ll have to let the link-detached figure it out and not watch the terraces.
On a more serious note it feels like all this language is just getting more and more confusing. I’ve not heard the term sapphic before but looking it up now I’ve just read the following:
“The peer-led sex education advocate Katie Haan told Them that being sapphic means having a “community where everyone has a mutual understanding of what it means to experience attraction, love, sexual desire, romance, community, friendship, companionship, inspiration and creativity through a similar lens, on our terms.””
To me that reads as a lot of words not actually explaining anything different to how most people want to and do experience their lives. From the same article:
“For me, sapphic evokes the soulful, “I want a cottage core lifestyle on a farm with just us” type of emotions that I feel for my femme partner.”
?
I have now also been introduced to the terms transmascs and trans femmes as seemingly distinct to trans men and trans women. It feels, from my perspective, like you can make up a term and a meaning and use endless words to validate this. I too am very worried about my three girls at the beginning of their adolescence 😔
