I find it difficult to reconcile people who declare, ‘they would have something terrible happen to them in a male prison’ with actually giving a fuck about the women they expect these prisoners to be shields for.

There are places for vulnerable males. If there are not enough of them, then more are needed.

The very fact that Thompson’s mother says that their child often reacts sexually to adversity should be all any person fucking needs to know about whether this person should be or shouldn’t be in the female prison.

It is sad that thIs person has been bullied and has very poor decision making ability. But that is NOT an excuse to be in the female prison.

Male prisoners wouldn't put up with a sex offender in “normal” prison areas. Why the heck should women?!

The “risk assessments” done by the SPS concentrate on the male transperson, with little regard given to the female inmates in a women’s prison.

The safety of vulnerable women is ignored and thus directly placed at risk when male transperson in placed among them.

Yes, why can they not see that he's more than likely to do something terrible to an inmates/s in a women's prison? Why is that seen as irrelevant, or less valid?

In any case, they're very serious about protecting nonces in male prisons, so much so that there are several prisons dedicated to them, with no normal offenders in them.

It's just so grotesque and topsy-turvy, isn't it? And all in the name of being kind and right on, with no regards to the women and sometimes children, who are forced to put up with the results.

It doesn't matter whether molesting children and wrecking their lives makes an offender feel better, they cannot bloody do it, and it is not ok .

That is the main issue women have with this whole political ideology in a nutshell. You cannot use non consenting other people as if they are put on this planet as your personal therapy tools without regard for their equal humanity, however much you may feel you need, it deserve it, or are distressed without it.
