Women were able to put up with a TW if he behaved OK and also they would get in trouble for being transphobic if they didn't.

Women were not prepared to put up with a paedophile - given the number of women in prison who would be quite happy to beat up a paedophile, he was now at serious risk.

TW should have been in the VP section of a male prison all along and would likely had no bother at all.

It's so depressing, isn't it? I first read the Guardian at 23, in an FE College library and soon came to enjoy it, but now? It's the same with Labour, who can I bloody well vote for now?

So why are the current reports referring to him as a man, with his male name (unlike the previous reports where he was called a woman with a silly female name)?

I hope that women in prison know that we are thinking of them and doing our best to help ensure they aren't subjected to mixed sex prisons. I hope the uproar and outrage in the media at Isla Bryson reached them and that they feel empowered to say when they are not comfortable.
