Katie Dolatowski Released??

I saw someone on Twitter say that Katie Dolatowski his been released from Corton Vale.

Does anyone know if this is true? I did an online search and found an article from mid-Jan which May back this up but it’s behind a paywall.

My knowledge in this area is admittedly limited, but isn’t it quite common that convicted sex offenders are given social media bans in order to prevent them from attempting to groom further victims? I’ve certainly seen it mentioned in some cases, though I guess those may be cases where social media was involved in the first place.

Yes, that sort of thing. I don’t know where to find the sentencing for “Katie”, though I’ve seen some reports that say they are subject to a strict curfew.

Reading that, he can use the Internet provided that someone (parole officer?) can look at his history.

There is considerable doubt that the Twitter account identified in tweets by both "Anna Lou" and FWS is KD's Twitter account.

It is one of two accounts identified by "Anna Lou" as belonging to KD which she says she has "confirmed" by looking at their tweets.

Both accounts use KD's current name (AMcK). Both claim to work for Microsoft Azure and both seem to have a Scottish connection but their tweets are very different in terms of sophistication of language.

There really is a person employed by Microsoft Azure with the same unusual name (AMcK) that has been adopted by KD.

I am not going to include the name in full because it is possible that neither account belongs to KD.

Meanwhile, there are a load of people directly accusing, or implying, that the account identified by FWS belongs to a male convicted of sex offences against children. Also notifying or accusing named Followers that they are following and therefore associated with a convicted paedophile.

This whole thing is incredibly irresponsible and very likely actionable as defamatory.

Claims to be trans. Very few tweets and replies (less than 10? possibly has deleted some tweets?). Tweets about Scottish trans matters but mostly Grand Theft Auto.

I am going to ask Mumsnet to delete the posts linking to the tweets by "Anna Lou" and FWS. I think this is the best course of action as damage limitation as it seems highly likely that someone is being falsely accused of being a convicted sex offender and paedophile.

What's your source on that? If that is true, then my doubt would significantly increase, but maybe you're just getting it from the Twitter bio? There was a bit of coverage about "Microsoft" claims by that Twitter account, but there appears to be no confirmation - quite the contrary.

I was initially sceptical, but when I looked at the account, and the earlier iterations visible in the archive from April 2021, plus other alts, I concluded it's likely they're all the same person, just in one of the accounts he decided to pose as a Microsoft employee rather than an Xbox geek. (Notable missteps: mis-spelling "Reading" as "Redding" in the location, giving "LS1" as location around the time of the Leeds Woman Aid incident, and "I can't access my e-mail, I'm in hospital" responses when challenged about authenticity of unsourced Microsoft statements).

If that June 2021 account really is a (different) Microsoft employee, it's curious he/she chose to create the account and use it in staggered around the same time period as all the others, for similar topics.

I agree some of this is potentially irresponsible, and there is room for doubt, but I really don't think it's "highly likely" someone is being falsely accused here.

IMHO it needs better proof than scanning Twitter feeds before going public. These suspicions and that intelligence need to be reported to the proper authorities. Presumably it is the Probation Service that is monitoring KD's internet accounts and use?

They can go to an investigative journalist too, by all means.

People can risk litigation if they want to but in previous cases involving defamatory tweets damages have been calculated based on the number of "impressions" or views of tweets and retweets.

Further tweets commenting on particular Followers ramp up the possibility of legal action. They include mentions of individuals who have already been to court to defend their reputation and won.

If the worst comes to the worst, the last thing whoever is responsible will be worrying about is convincing random readers on a Mumsnet thread.

If those accounts, and several other ones that I traced and that others found, do belong to KD then trumpeting their discovery may alert KD and others to cover their tracks and make it harder to find evidence of wrongdoing.

If you disagree, fine, and whoever reads these posts can make up their own minds about whether to increase publicity or hold fire.

Dolatowski also posted online about the issue of trans people using bathrooms. She wrote on April 1: “I know trans women aren’t a threat if I use the bathroom.”
Dolatowski said on March 27 “I know I’m not a threat to anyone” and told those who did not feel safe: “Don’t use public bathrooms.”

Re the name changes - Dolatowski appears to have been the family surname as KD's mother is quoted with the same summary. Obviously appears a new surname is now in use.

The fact is that this pedophile has been using the new name since atleast the time that he was in the Leeds women's refuge and used the police permitted name change to con his way into the refuge.
He is also under 25 so he is being assessed and sentenced under the same Scottish guidelines that let a convicted pedophile rapist off with community service which undoubtedly explains why he was sent to continue vale as a reward for assaulting another male prisoner in a male prison!

There's no way the real LD works for MS. He's uneducated and clearly has learning difficulties. He's been in care since age 3. If someone of that background managed to pull themselves up by the bootstraps get themselves into a highly competitive job at MS, MS themselves would have been shouting it from the rooftops and featuring them on adverts, the intranet etc etc.

Btw, there's a very old account from 2017 for a KD. Must have been 16 while set up. Only one tweet about browsing privately. They've followed Jazz Jenning and jazz's mother among other random twitters, including some Scottish sites. Eg fife council. Their one follower is an account that you'll need brain bleach for.

Looks like the account has been deleted. It had been outed all over Twitter by fellow TRAs as belonging to 'Katie'.

I checked earlier and saw the first tweets were from January- which would figure. Ann Coates was a fan from the start. (Ann is a self-appointed Mumsnet monitor.)
