In today's Telegraph:

"The row over the Scottish Gender Recognition certificate has caused some particular nasties to crawl out. None of this is new; some trans activists set off a smoke bomb in 2019 next to a meeting at Grenfell, causing huge distress. Woman’s Place meetings are always picketed and women have to meet in secret. Film screenings are stopped by loud, stubbled men in frocks. Professional women, as we know, lose jobs over this issue and some are advised to have personal security. For saying what? That biology exists.
This madness could be dialled down a notch if all this intimidation was condemned. Keir Starmer could do it, the unions could do it, university vice chancellors could do it. Are these institutions happy with the situation? For pity’s sake, don’t ‘both sides’ this. Women are not threatening trans people. The mantra that somehow debating our legal rights means denying their existence is nonsensical. Of course trans people exist, but so does male violence and provision has to be made to protect women from it where possible.
SNP politicians happily posed with protestors with signs saying Decapitate TERFss_. Oh, they did not know what they were doing? Well, “Open your eyes” is all I can say. You are doing trans people no favours at all – for most of these activists are guys who have just found a new channel for their misogyny and get a cheap thrill wearing female underwear while doing it."
Ends:
"I am proud to live on ‘Terf Island’ where critical thinking is allowed, and we do not do what men tell us. We are in it for the long haul and if certain politicians do not recognise that, we simply will not recognise them – however they identify themselves."
