'Protest' at EHRC HQ

Honestly don't read any further if you're eating!

apple.news/Aak8wOhpRTUqxtEgvpSq0Kw

If you don't want to give the misogynists at VICE any clicks then I will summarise - trans rights activists left over 60 bottles of urine outside the HQ of the EHRC to protest their policy on trans access to single sex spaces. One trans protester (I'll let you guess their sex) also emptied multiple bottles of said urine all over themselves on the side of the street, as well as wetting themselves for good measure! No arrests made, obviously!

I'm so disgusted. Hopefully this just shows the EHRC why we need single sex spaces. There's disgusting photos at the bottom of the article, clearly this is nothing but a fetish to the 'protester'.

‘it’s finished’

Also Nathan Barley:

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/09/2022 13:59

We now live in Nathan's world. I remember talking to a colleague a decade ago and we were horrified that elements of it was coming true in the particular area we worked in, and it's so much worse now 😩

Cutted up pear post

Indeed.

Excellent, Screaming!

Musomama1 · 08/09/2022 15:16

Re Nathan Barley, I often think Charlie Brooker could make an amazing 'wipe' about all of this stuff. I wish he would.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/09/2022 15:18

I'm sure he's keeping his powder dry for the moment. Maybe he will in the end.

ArabellaScott · 08/09/2022 15:32

Given recent events I'm just glad to hear the word 'dry', tbh.

FunnyTalks · 08/09/2022 15:44

I wish Charlie Brooker would do something too. He's an absolute genius but I can't watch Black Mirror any more because real life events have become more topsy turvy than I ever could have imagined.

Bex Wade describes themselves as a trans non-binary person. They were commissioned by Vice to photograph #PissGate, and it is Wade's photos which have graced the Twitter accounts of Monty, Alex Sharpe and other TRA's, seemingly working undercover to undermine the trans cause.

Wades photos of course have been adopted by the GC movement and are already being posted across numerous Twitter threads. Which was probably not the result Wade, or Vice, were seeking.

Wades's Twitter account is now in 'protected' mode. They're web site isn't and it should be noted that Wade is I think, actually a bloody good photographer. In the 'Drummers' section my husband has noted a photograph of Nick Mason he'd want to buy. What is missing are Wades #PissGate photos, though they might be the copyright of Vice.

It isn't inconceivable that the TRA's/incels have identified Wade as a quisling, seeing the damage that #PissGate has done to the trans cause. Which poses a problem for Wade is that their work, which used be based on the LBG clubs until the 'T' killed them off (particularly those dedicated to lesbians) has been focused on protests.

The ripple effects of #PissGate haven't finished yet and likely won't for a few months.

TheClogLady · 09/09/2022 11:59

That’s a shame.

I hope Wade isn’t a the biologically female version of non binary. We all know that the NB shield does shit all to help female people when male-bodied trans activists start getting angry.

(Gosh, you are correct, Bex does indeed take gorgeous photos:

www.bexwade.com/female-drummers

much better than anything by the piss artist person.)

MingeofDeath · 09/09/2022 16:42

I had a lurk on the UK trans subreddit and the majority of them seem to think that the piss protest has been a very bad idea. Deranged, perverted and bad optics have been mentioned. Not often I agree with them but yes lads, you are right.

How long before they start saying TERFs did it?

MrsJamin · 09/09/2022 17:01

Well I'm sure it was TERFs' fault that it went wrong, right?

Deliriumoftheendless · 09/09/2022 17:15

Did it even happen or was it
just made up by angry feminists?

obviously don’t look for evidence of this, just take my word for it. I mean I checked so you can stay safe.

something like that?

Helleofabore · 09/09/2022 17:22

I am just waiting for any prominent group or activist though to say bluntly that this was a very wrong step on twitter....

Or has it happened and I missed it.

I mean, I offered Hearache that I would even help to promote this protest & the Barclay's 'big tits' episode far and wide because they have been so very confident that all publicity is great on the Barclays thread! But.... crickets.

Almost like even extreme activists realise that maybe this one was a fail! And makes the Barclay's episode start to look like what it is as well.

And they are struggling to spin it.

MingeofDeath · 09/09/2022 17:34

@TastefulRainbowUnicorn

Haha, I was waiting for a it was the terfs what done it type response but there was none. They have said that it has set their cause back because of the public perception of the protest and has given us (gcs) a LOT of ammunition.

They'd be absolutely right. Important to find the courage to open handedly evidence it and then say flat out, no, not in our name, we absolutely do not support this behaviour and this person does not speak for me.

Which is why I would really like the threats and abuse the guy in the period post to be made public. When they're not clearly stated it not only prevents people being able to make clear that behaviour like this is not an approved part of a political view, it leads to an impression that they may not actually exist. At least the evidence for this one is front and centre.

ArabellaScott · 09/09/2022 17:47

Luckily we have the images. Still up on Vice. And all the other performances - writhing with fish, drinking milk and oestrogen out of a condom, pulling pearls our of they's anus. Etc

They aren't that bad as far as student performance art goes! Own them! Well spoken person explores their own marginalisation fetish by creating lots of shocking mess for someone else to clean up.

What can they really say, though? 'This person is transgressing boundaries and forcing others to participate unwillingly in a publically played out obscene fantasy'?

ImherewithBoudica · 09/09/2022 18:07

Not saying it though....?

ArabellaScott · 09/09/2022 18:38

Well. I went to try and find Shon Faye's supportive quote but can't find it. Deleted? .

MrsJamin · 09/09/2022 19:28

I think it was mentioned in Shown Faye's Instagram stories, which only last for 24 hours before they disappear.

ArabellaScott · 09/09/2022 19:43

Ah, I see. Not really committed support, then. Probably quite shrewd.

AlisonDonut · 09/09/2022 19:52

So we're Vice actually sponsoring it, if they had got a photographer in special to cover it?
