Here we go again: woman told she can't have a stall at a community event

From twitter:

"I’ve just been informed I am not allowed to sell soaps at a local event because of a conversation on a local board about TRA - my angle? That both sides are valid and no one is coming from a place of cruelty. How is this anything but an attack on free speech? "

And what if you or they find out that there are other stallholders at the event that hold the same views, but Andy hasn't found evidence of them? How can they justify banning you but not them?
What other views do they ban?
How dangerous is your soap to LGBT people?

And do they really mean LGBT, or do they just mean T?

Have they explained what is so ban-worthily horrendous about saying both sides of an argument are valid?

Ah, nice! By someone on Twitter.

Maybe Fiona could make some "Wash Your Mouth Out" soap.

"I'm in charge for signing up businesses for People in the Park".

There we have it. A single person and their ideology can cancel someone.

SpindleInTheWind · 27/07/2022 19:37

Not only Forstater now to quote back at Andy.

Some cracking stuff too today in Bailey vs Garden Court Chambers and Stonewall from Employment Judge Goodman and the Tribunal.

This is gold. Please do it. I will buy it.

Namechanged for this to preserve my anonymity.

I've just been emailing Fiona and she is making up a batch of fragrance-free shampoo for me to try one. So if, like me, you're allergic, email her via https://salisburysoaps.com/contact-salisbury-soaps/ to order one as it may not appear on her website.

IcakethereforeIam · 27/07/2022 23:26

I will definitely be checking out her website for Xmas gifts and probably tablet soap for myself. It annoys me that it's hard to avoid buying from companies that have been Stonewalled (other genderwoo companies are also available). This will be an absolute pleasure.

SingingSands · 27/07/2022 23:48

Just ordered a box of soaps as they sound wonderful, and Fiona sounds wonderful and Andy can stick his patronising, creepy virtual signals where the sun don't shine, the self pontificating little twit.

EdithStourton · 28/07/2022 07:32

Contacted her to place an order.
Here's hoping that twonk Andy has scored a massive own goal.

SpottyBumPony · 28/07/2022 10:08

I have also placed an order, her soaps look lovely

Love it. I will totally buy this if it makes it to market Grin

I’ve been using Fiona’s conditioner bar for a few weeks now, and from the very first use it has had a gorgeous effect on my hair. Soft and wavy, lovely. Totally recommend it.

The shampoo bar is so gentle that it doesn’t dry my skin at all (which is usually a problem for my face after shampooing).

I am allergic to fragrances, and it makes such a change to use products that smell herby and lovely, rather than smelling like PVA glue.

I also like that the packaging is basic and unfussy. Just brown paper. No environmentally wasteful stuff, apart from the necessary and recyclable padded envelope.

Very pleased to be supporting this woman’s business.

BlueBrush · 01/10/2022 09:34

Ah, @WashAsDelicates , that's really spooky, because, fresh out of the shower, I've just been thinking I need to post something similar! I've been using her lime and indigo goatsmilk soap for a while, and its gorgeous. Looking forward to using the others. Highly recommend ti anyone who enjoys a good hand made soap.

ErrolTheDragon · 01/10/2022 09:39

FWR sometimes has an Xmas gift suggestions thread (nice things from ethical suppliers etc) - sounds like Fiona should be on it.Smile

MrsOvertonsWindow · 01/10/2022 10:31

I've been using her lovely soaps and they're a delight. Highly recommended.
