Careful, lol. My post got deleted because I pointed out the audience would be confronted with someone who appears to be AMAB (is that ok to say?) and appears to not be in athletic shape (to say the least) and expected to accept they’re looking at a female elite athlete.

Wonder if they’d show VI walking athletically on set. I mean, just one look will peak so many.

It is completely amazing what those AMAB can say and get away with and still get coverage. Astonishing.

This will be interesting. I'm sure they'll put the clip up on social media but the Daily Show has a podcast 'ears edition' so I'll be listening out for that.

How do you watch the Daily Show?

I was just wondering that myself, apparently it's on Comedy Central which you can get via Sky. I think it's on at some early hour of the morning though.

Can anyone find a link to the interview? There's one on Twitter which doesn't work in the UK and searching YouTube reveals a 44-minute section with just the other interviewee and not VI (that I can see - scrolled through quickly)

I actually think Ivy made a great point (in terms of peaking people), which can basically be boiled down to "if you don't see me as female for sport then you don't really see me as female".

Which is exactly right. In the recent Irish survey something like 45% of people said they believe "transwomen are women" but only 19% (these figures are rough and from memory) said that transwomen should be allowed to compete in women's sports. So 26% of people are wandering around uttering complete nonsense they don't believe in, presumably out of fear, politeness, or simply because they've never really thought about it in any depth.

As more and more light is shone on this situation, and more and more overweight 6ft+ men go on TV to tell everyone how very female they are, and more and more articles are written about predatory men in prisons and changing rooms and toilets, more of those 26% will start to see sense and stop saying words that don't align with their beliefs for the sake of a politeness that is ultimately harmful.

Ivy has been pushing the ‘if you don’t think transitioned males deserve to play in female sports you don’t really think we are women’ for a while. Since they were known as McKinnon.

Gradually, some parts of the world are being reassured that they can indeed say the truth as opinion polls consisted show that the majority certainly doesn’t believe people can change sex despite repeating mantras. And that activists have been lying about many things, but certainly about how much public support they really have.

It must infuriate them no end to realise people repeat the mantra but many times only due to fear, as per the other polls that are now consistently showing that 18-28 year olds are actually the least tolerant generation. Again, despite activists claims that they are the most tolerant.

To be clear, they are tolerant of accepting misinformation about science and about gender, while being very intolerant to people disagreeing with them and alternative viewpoints. All while feeling ever so righteous.

FUCK ME! To sit in front of a black man from South Africa and imply that there's a link between trabs rights and racism.. speechless.

And to include intersex women next to trans women.

I get McKinnon is alluding to Castor Semenya who Trevor will of course know all about - as both are South African stars - but the audacity is breathtaking.

I think I'm about 90 seconds in. This goes on for 12 minutes?! Not sure I'll make it to the end without a defibrillator.

They're deliberately trying to wind people up. Ivy knows what Ivy is saying.

Then I heard the "we don't know if trans women athletes have an advantage as there's no published research" and I'm out.

I do wonder who vetted this guest. Is it normal for the Daily Show to have "experts" on who've lost tenure (seriously, that's harder than getting tenure in the first place!) and have a partner arrested for child sex crimes?!! Are there no other trans women who could be on? That's the best there is?!
