I remember reading about him a few weeks ago. Dodgy as hell.

It amazes me at the outrage over Boris and his birthday cake, yet this guy (and the long list of real criminal scandals he has been involved with) can get away with all of it and have sympathy just because he said he is trans, yet has no intention of doing anything about it.

Mr Wallis described how he had come to the realisation it was 'pretty foolish to live for other people'.
'No matter what they may say or what might happen and no matter who those people are, you can’t live your life for them,' he added.

I hope his wife and children are OK. He never mentions them in these interviews.

Yes. You say the magic T word and everything is forgiven. It’s like a special passport into a world where you can behave how you want.

I'm not sure I want to know the answer to that...

It does have an air of 'I couldn't possibly be a nonce, I'm a woman' about it.

@FrancescaContini it does seem to be a get out of jail free card doesn't it, like the comment on Glinner's article:

“Jamie Wallis MP, you are charged with a number of serious offences. How do you wish to plead, guilty or not guilty?”

“I’m Trans your honour.”

This is an MP, a public servant, someone in parliament precisely to represent other people. If he thinks it is foolish to 'live for other people' then he should resign as an MP.

A lot of allegations in that article: hope the author and publisher has had good legal advice!

I'm still unsure what he's supposed to have come out as. Has he come out as a wrong 'un?

This grifter is going to be women on Sky Newsinna minute, talking about his trans journey.

Nope - this won't make the press, we will continue to have 'brave and beautiful' articles (particularly on the BBC website and in the Guardian) over the coming years as we all get to follow his 'amazing' transition.

Aside from the fact that he’s clearly not fit to be an MP, it is interesting that he talks about wanting to be ‘trans’ rather than wanting to be a ‘woman’.

I suspect that he is a deeply troubled man who will soon discover that ‘being trans’ is not a quick and easy route to happiness and contentment. He’s not about to embark on a journey to enlightenment but rather just another road to hell.

Happens to women every day and you'd be amazed how few articles there are about it..

If he was a woman MP he’d be accused of ‘weaponising his trauma’ when referring to his rape (much like JKR was after her essay).

So apparently, according to the Daily Mail article he's "felt like this since being a very young child" yet is associated with companies that defend people accused of child pornography, and companies running sugar daddy websites?

Not a typical path for a woman . . .

Oh and I forgot about the Thai Brides.

The article is somewhat disingenuous in suggesting the blackmail was about him being trans - because there would be less sympathy if it was about these other issues.

As someone commented under one of the articles about him:

That’s exactly what I thought.
I have genuine sympathy for anyone who has been raped but I’m willing to bet that there are dozens of female MPs who have been raped and never bring it up or mention it.

I think we can assume that the blackmail (which did state were about photographs) were probably of him wearing something that would be quite embarrassing, as soon as you say it's related to being trans then those photographs become sympathetic.

With this guy and his history, I simply do not believe a single thing he says. And with a guy with his size and heft I doubt some of the more serious scenarios too.

Could there be an add-on to that?

He's now been charged with failing to stop following a road traffic collision, failure to report a road traffic collision, driving without due care and attention and leaving a vehicle in a dangerous position. Due in court next month...
