Raquel's case resonates so strongly with me because many years ago, I too was a foreign student, in a foreign land, sent to further my education. I was warmly welcomed & chose to stay, but I was also aware many others found it hard to transition to UK Culture & left.
In my culture, when you invite someone into your country & take their far higher international tuition fees, you treat that person with courtesy + respect, not hounding & bullying for knowing Biological males are NOT female.
#Lawfare is expensive, but her case shines a light on why many young girls are silenced at British Unis' abt the realities of female material reality & the erroneous impression that Gender Critical is a movement for only old, white, middle-aged women.
I was so touched by the British Sisterhood shown to Maya. Let's wrap Raquel up in that same fold.
One day, your young daughter, niece, sister, granddaughter, god daughter may be at University, far away from home, finding her feet, and if she is able to speak up freely about the material reality of being female, it will be because of Raquel.
Let's did deep, please!
