Primary or Secondary. I’m interested to know what and where it is being taught and how teachers feel about it. Is there much push back from staff?

Can someone remind me -is it true that if a child under 18claims discrimination because they identify as a boy but aren’t allowed to use the boys loos is not being subject to discrimination as , technically, you can’t get the GRC until 18 and this are treated as your natal sex? School teacher here navigating this absolute mess!

You will likely need legal advice as schools appear to be accepting 'self-ID’ to a greater or lesser degree (without informing parents), plus the new bill being brought in will make the situation more fraught.

Well, it does seem that a girl who identifies as a boy does have the PC of gender reassignment. She is still a girl, though, so when considering whether she is being discriminated against, the comparator would be another girl without the PC of gender reassignment.

So on one hand there is an argument that, in not being allowed to use the boys' loos, she is not being directly discriminated against: the comparator would not be allowed to use the boys' loos either.

But on the other hand, she might be able to claim indirect discrimination: the policy of having separate boys' and girls' loos affects her more negatively because of her PC.

It's a minefield and I don't think it has been tested in law yet.
