Fuck me, I was prepared to give Raab the benefit of the doubt until I read that pile of shite.

Raab would probably say mixed-sex boxing was feminists getting equality for women.

To be fair (although no idea why I'd want to be fair) I think he was making the obfuscating point that hate speech is wrong whatever sex it is directed at and mysogyny is not a thing, not saying mysogyny could apply to either sex. In the same way that people say, black lives matter - no all lives matter .

I always want to believe in my longstanding naiveté that politicians are bright and public-service minded.

Having seen Raab's performance when speaking to Lady Sylvia Hermon in relation to the Good Friday Agreement/Brexit ramifications, I was reminded that bright is not always a requisite and that power attracts the power-hungry.
Raab, in that article linked by @PurgatoryOfPotholes, proves that he is indeed one of the not-bright-and-power-hungry types.
