It's been a long slog but trans widows have finally made it into the broadsheets! Pleased to have worked with Ewan Somerville on this article, which is a pretty good summary:

Also helps clarity on the actual balance of power. The political position insists that this leaves TW vulnerable to being abused by their wives. However here we see the sex group that resort immediately to threats of sexual violence and murder, merely for a woman sharing that the 'veto' is not a factually truthful thing to be calling it. Sex group. Not gender group.

Incidentally, I'm beyond tired of all this threatening to put penises in women's mouths as a means of punishment. It seems distinctly foolish to me to imagine putting a delicate organ anywhere near the teeth of a woman who by this point is going to be ever so slightly irritated with them.

That is absolutely shocking, I am so sorry Tinsel

@Datun

Ugh. tinsel. Have you reported it to Twitter? I know its pointless, but there is going to be a reckoning at some point.
I did report them both to Twitter and got the following message:

"Thanks for your report. After our review, we’ve locked the account for breaking our ruless_.
Please keep in mind, the account does have the option to take the actions we’ve requested to have their account unlocked. This can include deleting the Tweet(s) that violated the rules, having their account features be temporarily limited or updating specific information on their account."

That is appalling, I'm glad they've taken some sort of action.

I note there's also a rather pathetic troll parody account been set up, minimising your experiences. Thanks

MiladyBerserko · 22/06/2021 21:37

God Tinsel, I hope you're ok. And I hope the bloody police actually bloody look for them.

The people that send messages like this are despicable bastards. Both sides, my arse.

Flowers to you

Voice0fReason · 22/06/2021 21:44

Excellent work Tinsel.

Stonewall continue to demonstrate how much they hate women.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 22/06/2021 22:21

Flowers Tinsel. I hope you've got people looking after you IRL.

TinselAngel · 22/06/2021 22:32

I'm OK thanks. And a good friend of mine (erstwhile of this parish 👀) is monitoring my Twitter while I step away for a few days.

That's exceedingly sensible of you. Which is no surprise at all.

Those should of course be reported to the police, since threatening in this way is illegal. I quite understand that you may not feel able, but this is criminal behaviour that the police should rush to deal with with the same enthusiasm they rush to arrest women for tying suffragette ribbons to trees.

Absolutely. These kinds of messages and tweets should be reported to the police. If a mere ribbon is sufficient cause for the police to come knocking on the doors of women, they can bloody well do their job and investigate the kind of crap women receive regularly.
