My understanding is that it will be birth certificate or GRC. No self ID.

I think he means legal sex either birth cert or GRC. But not passport as those documents don’t record sex, but gender identity. (Which is really all a GRC does, but is legally recognised.)

There was never any chance of it being "biological" sex rather than "legal sex" as that wasn't the argument put forward by FPFW (for understandable reasons, though it's frustrating that we are in this position because of a piece of nonsense legislation)
