Statement here. Basically a “little” is an adult baby fetish. Sophie draws their image as a young girl and fantasises about sleep overs with other little girls where they talk about their genitals. Anyone else think this has more red flags than a Chinese communist party shindig?

It will inevitably be pushed, and pushed, until finally there is no choice but to draw the boundaries.

The homophobia of it is truly depressing. It's an argument based on 'you thought homosexuality was deviant, so if you're ok with that you have to accept this too as the same thing'.

No. It's really, really not the same thing. LGB people spent decades trying to get the general public to understand that homosexual people did not intrinsically have any different standards, morals or ethics to heterosexual people. It infuriates me, this claim that inappropriate behaviour is normal to LGB people, and to have boundaries against that behaviour is a rejection of homosexuality. LGB people aren't a human shield.

The gaslighting around this issue on twitter is truly a sight. I just saw someone saying, and I paraphrase, "Sophie Labelle has been blamed for some things, they are NOT true, and please don't google because if you google you might end up seeing her deadname."

I wonder when the Royal Society will be pressured to drop its motto: Nullius in verba?

Jane Clare Jones recently commented that a student had been asked to prepare something for a UK Trans Remembrance Day. The more the student researched the matter and examined various databases, the more baffled they were to learn that the UK does not resemble Brazil in such matters.

I'd be very sorry if people were being persuaded out of assessing information sources and researching matters appropriately.

If everyone participating is of legal age and happy to be there, I don't care what people do in private.

I don't know if I agree with this or not.

Do I care about the idea of, for example, a group of men meeting in private to discuss their sexual desires for children? Sharing their fantasies about how they would like to abuse children?

Assuming no criminal act is being committed, that no actual children are being abused, do I decide not to care about what people do in private? Do I decide not to care if one of these men, with a spotless DBS check, is in a position of trust in a service for children?

I think I do care, actually, I think I care a great deal.

If a computer-generated indecent image of a person under the age of consent can be used in the UK to obtain a conviction of a paedophile, where does the law stand on human-generated indecent images of a person under the age of consent?

Many many years ago whilst studying my A Levels, we had a discussion around this, art was fine, a photograph was not. This was before the internet boom so may have changed but I wonder if there is still something along the same lines. Often laws take a long time to catch up.

Not vilifying someone's kink doesn't mean that we believe it is a good thing.

Accepting someone's kink exists doesn't mean that it we should celebrate it.

@Mumofgirlswholiketoplaywithmud

It's the way that
  1. SL is celebrated as an author for children
  2. SL's mainstream drawings are designed to be appealing and "cute", so children like SL's pictures
  3. SL then does adult content in the same style
This. Clear as day.

Anyone defending this creep needs a good look at themselves.

[quote nauticant]Labelle is one of the trans activists who has been repeatedly saying that it's transphobic for someone not to want to date trans people:

Does that also apply to transpeople who don't want to date transpeople?

@HermioneWeasley

The comics depict Sophie’s character having made up sleep overs with little girls, and in at least one, they are discussing their genitals (Sophie explains to the girls that Sophie’s penis is just a big clitoris)
This one, I presume. Yeah that's weird.

Does this man think that women pee through the clitoris?

Wow.

Think of the money I wasted on a shewee for my camping trips.
