Coo. I'm cleverer that 832,000 people!

I'm another who had never heard of this person before so have just taken a look at a few videos.

My thoughts are, is this person genuine? The body language, speech and general demeanor screams insincerity to me.

This is surely a performance art piss-take? I mean, all power to their elbow, I hope their profile increases off the back of this. With Izzard on ITN in girl mode, I'm already having some great conversations with colleagues and friends. I'm quite sure the women I know who need HRT and have to beg for it will be hugely sympathetic to this person's plight, and very willing to see their own situation as huge privilege. And they all vote and talk to their friends and family too.

So, please, youtube non-entity, crack on. I'm all for life hacks, and having you do some legwork for me is fab.

When I was at university forever ago I realised that some of the worst people were chancers from middle class backgrounds identifying as working class to advance their own interests and selling Socialist Worker.

It might be a different sheep costume these days but the wolves aren't so different.

Abigail has done and interview and they say they are the “transgender princess of TERF island” and are scared now they don’t have equal rights . Firstly, you don’t just get to give yourself a title. Or maybe you can! Self ID and all that. Secondly I would love to know what rights Abigail doesn’t think they have...

When you've looked at this stuff long enough you realise that the one right they're missing* is the right never to hear the word "no".

@nauticant: those people are sadly still around. At my uni there are loads of middle class students who say they are entitled to identify as working class if they feel like it. It’s apparently mean and gatekeeping to say that a student who went to an all boys private school and is third generation oxbridge is middle class.

Gatekeeping is a good thing, and I give no shits what numpties wanted use it as a pejorative. It's an absolutely vital role in all manner of avenues to maintain safety and social order. Anyone who wants to undermine the concept is trying, either deliberately or without realizing, to undermine safeguarding and the concept of boundaries, and there should be pushback every single time it is attempted. Enough already.

This person tried to deplatform Kathleen Stock. They are also bffs with hbomberguy of Mermaids game stream fame (which I'm sure will age well) and Contrapoints of hating women and making creepy videos about them fame.

Argh, was just on the other thread to to comment, now it’s gone. There is plenty of information about this person in other places, so won’t comment on the details.

It is sad that statements that are so obviously untrue get taken so seriously. It is almost the textbook definition of a moral panic.

But maybe this is good in the long run. You‘d have to be willfully blind to not notice what’s going on here
