Just seen they are reporting on this tonight (Saturday).

That is a fantastic interview & very clear & logical. I have been thinking for some time that trans identity is often gay conversion in disguise- the Tavistock have been accused of ignoring homophobia in gay patient's families which may push them to be trans & straight rather than homosexual. The CEO of Mermaids has described that her youngest child would have probably been a feminine gay man if they had been left alone, but that wasn't acceptable to her husband. It's very interesting that the Tavistock highlighted that puberty blockers are/were prescribed by another NHS Trust- that smells of shifting the blame onto the prescribing endocrinologist if they are sued. If I was in endocrinology I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole. Without documented capacity assessment & consent the Tavistock are very vulnerable to legal action by patients.
