I asked because my brother told me she'd been banned, but I'd not been aware of it (haven't followed these boards for very long) and told him that surely it would only have been temporary if so, cos FWR would have been up in arms... but then thought I'd better check.

From what I know, Posie has moved passed Mumsnet. I think She has said that she wouldn't return even if she could.

Yes, its very tedious. There are about 2 or 3 posters who think it is their job to act as gatekeepers, and do more harm than good when new posters are greeted with hostile comments.

And its like they sit there waiting to be the first on the thread. Which implies they dont have a live and / or they think the rest of us are stupid.

Far better if they think a thread is dubious to just ignore it. If it is a troll, most will catch on. And all that means is time wasted.

But that is nothing compared to making new posters feel unwelcome or not up to scratch. And then dont come back.

If you are new to a community how else are you meant to learn about it other than by asking questions?

I think OP's question is totally valid. All anyone needs to say is yes or no.

It was a long time ago OP. It hasn't stopped PP and it never will. Many other women have been banned here too. PP is one of many.

OhHolyJesus, I just checked and Standing for Women is open, with posts from yesterday. I haven't checked if Kellie-Jay herself has posted, though.
