Yes I also assume all Titania output is satire, and I enjoy it very much. My objection was to Doyle being described up thread as being a supporter of women or some such, which I don’t think is right. He satirises the egregious left, but that’s not the same as actively being on the side of GC women.

It’s like my mother and climate change - she thinks it’s all a con and that the science is completely wrong, but she also thinks there should be fewer cars on the road and there’s too much plastic waste etc. Our preferred outcomes are the same, but the ideology behind it is completely different.

I struggle to see right wingers as feminist allies, as they’re usually very invested in conservatism and the structural status quo. Our views may happen to align on some issues, but it’s often from ideologically different places, which would clash over other issues.

I'd agree there, Winter but I don't think it follows that we shouldn't acknowledge where we do agree because we don't on other things. I'm happy to let people have their own motivations for as long as our aims are the same, e.g. in your climate example. I wouldn't care what DMs thoughts were on the science as long as she was actually acting to reduce climate change anyway.

Satire is satire. Does it matter what the motivation behind it is if we can recognise what is being poked fun at and how absurd it all is. Look at Spitting Image. People from all political spectrum enjoyed it.

I’m just saying we should be cautious about declaring someone to be an ally, as opposed to someone whose activities sometimes tangentially help the cause.

I found Jarvis and Titania funny - they poke fun at everything - which is the point.
