I hesitate before posting as I'm not entirely sure if this is a wind up. But here is an anonymous website with dates and times of forthcoming protest marches, and five 'demands' (not one less!) that look, er, utterly reasonable...

5 KEY DEMANDS:

1. There will be granted no new ability for anyone to discriminate on the basis of Gender Identity and Expression/Gender Transition. This is our key demand.

1. The clause in the proposed amendment prohibiting conversion therapy must go ahead and must provide a ban on conversion therapy for both sexual orientations and gender expression/transition. This must include Non-Binary people.

1. The conservative government must release a statement apologising for the way they have treated transgender and non-binary people and also must apologise for even suggesting such an amendment be implemented.

1. Elizabeth Truss must either be removed or step down as Minister for Women and Equalities and must never assume the role for the rest of her life.

1. A government department for the advancement of the rights and quality of life of transgender and non-binary people specifically must be created and consulted. We also must not lose our representation in the Government Equalities Office.

Why don't you put all your energy into pushing for this to happen rather than sticking your nose into something you clearly know nothing about.

More to the point, why don't trans activists?

"Shared restrooms" you're either an American who's going to start railing about Trump or you are regurgitating US TRA talking points because you read them on Twitter. This is a UK based site. Most of the posters are British. We have our own politics here. We don't need yours.

Why do you even care about someone else's life, its nothing to do with you, it's none of our business so who cares and before you give me the ridiculous shared restrooms speech, it's no big deal to reform those to single uses only with nobody sharing, not women and women and not men and men and not women and men. But the thing with their key demand is that it is not in the slightest controversial

It only becomes controversial when they assume that gender identity is what binds women together as a group and what distinguishes women from men. They have to assume a gender identity into others to make that assumption correct

Whereas many women with diverse gender identities including null believe that it is sex is kind of relevant

Not strictly true... DfES became DIUS and DCSF in 2007. DCSF was the Department of Children, Schools and Families, DIUS was Innovation, Universities and Skills.

But that got a bit blurry where training and schooling for young people aged 16 - 18 should fit.

(DIUS was also half of the old DTI, the other half became DBERR - I dunno, regulatory reform or something?)

But the Coalition came along in 2010 and the two became DfE and BIS (now BEIS).

So for three years, children, schools and families were the main concern of a government department.

Surely it should be 'fewer', not less?
