Police issue appeal without mentioning suspect wore woman's clothes

DM granted, but outrageous example of pandering to the trans lobby at the expense of justice and common sense. How on earth can you catch an offender if you aren’t allowed to describe them? Are all offender descriptions going to be race and gender neutral for fear of offending people? Funnily enough they never seem to have a problem writing about Muslim terrorists, maybe the Muslims need a stronger lobby, they best get on Twitter.

Interesting that the DM are not allowing comments on this story!

That is hard reading. Extremely upsetting.

our enquiries have led us to believe the alleged suspect was a male who was posing as a female at the time of the incident.

I thought this wasn't actually terminology we're allowed to use anymore? Surely according to current police practise, this is a transwoman, and therefore a woman?
