I really hope this isn't true because this is the brass neck to beat all brass necks (link credit to several lovely Twitter posters) www.looper.com/217223/eddie-redmayne-reportedly-wants-j-k-rowling-let-go-from-fantastic-beasts-franchise/

If it is and I were JKR I'd make sure he never worked in film again, not that anyone would want to hire anyone who displayed this appalling behaviour - especially not someone as mediocre as Redmayne.

If it isn't true why hasn't he repudiated it?

CuriousaboutSamphire · 18/06/2020 12:19

No! Read the article

Maya Forstater, a discredited researcher at a London think tank whose public statements about trans people earned her a strong rebuke from the British courts and then of all weird double thinks Among the many reasons this is problematic, Rowling appears to be conflating sex and gender, which — according to a consensus of medical professionals — are two different things.

Redmayne has probably not said a bloody word... still trying to work out why there was a backlash after his last utterance!

If I was Eddie I would say nothing more.
I enjoyed the Fantastic Beasts films and he is good as Newt. It would be a shame if that changed because of a difference of opinion.
If he does come out and criticise JKR further it would surely make it very awkward to continue making the films.

BTW - what is this "I can't believe what this man found in his pancakes" thing?

Beamur · 18/06/2020 14:52

I'd like to know what was in the pancakes too...
