UN Women - people who menstruate

This has enraged me. It’s women. Women menstruate. If some women don’t want to be defined as women because they are non-binary or trans men then good luck to them, I hope those choices make them happy, but could they please bear in mind that by refusing to use the word women in relation to periods they are dehumanising a large section of the world’s population.

I’ve heard that point made many times and I have to agree. Ironically those who complain about feminists not including transwomen are the same who decry ‘white’ feminism.

I saw that tweet from un women just now and it just absolutely boils my piss that an international organisation that should be supporting women uses a celebrity man to mansplain what a woman is. Its just shocking!! How can the UN fight women specific issues such as FGM with this stance on separating sex from being a woman?
