Because to say anything other than TWAW is seen to be hateful.

The impact of that on women and girls isn't something the woke/activists give any thought to in general but when they do they are at pains to say that not being fully accepting is bigotry.

They also centre their views around being sympathetic for people suffering with gender dysphoria and have a mental picture of men who pass and have transitioned in their heads when thinking "trans".

What they ignore or fail to consider is how broad the definition of trans is now where many men make no effort to transition other than clothing/make up and of course the elephant in the room which is AGP.

Many people including myself are equally sympathetic to people genuinely suffering from GD but recognise that doesn't represent the whole trans community which is exactly why self ID is a bad thing that can be abused by those minded to do do (trans or otherwise).

Oh and for any of you still interested, a writer in the Irish Times (no relation of the Times of London as I've already noted) sighs at JKR and her lack of understanding that the rights of Trans people does not impugn the rights of women - so there, got it????? It really is a case of sticking their fingers in their ears and saying La, La, La while the rest of us watch Rome burn.
