I thought this was going to be a fundraiser to send her actual flowers, like 1000 roses or something!

I'd stick a fiver in that collection!

Same! I'd fill her whole house with flowers if I could. I hope she knows just how deeply appreciated her actions are.

It takes guts to speak up when the mood of the times is so against you. I just saw some stupid article (Forbes magazine) claim she's "destroying her legacy" - but I truly believe history will remember this as an act of bravery on her part, when all is said and done. The tide will turn, and this current moment won't last forever.

I'd also like to say that for all the fans screaming and wailing and throwing their toys out of the pram because she "ruined their childhoods", there are others - like me! - who see that she's staying exactly true to the spirit of books. She's Neville Longbottom in this situation. "It takes courage to stand up to our enemies but even more courage to stand up to our friends."

There comes a time when a person has to choose between what is right and what is easy. As a lifelong Harry Potter fan, I'm so glad JK chose the former.

She is amazing. Imagine having the guts. I spent yesterday on twit, liking and commenting in support. The comments were nonsense, mean spirited, misogynistic and self serving.

The way things are and the way things are going actually terrifies me for the future of women and children. I feel so cowardly in the face of this relentless onslaught sometimes so I am grateful for people like JK being standing up.
