Thank you Jo. Because of your bravery I msgd a few (female and feminist) friends and family today, to spread the word. I honestly don't think people outside of mumsnet know what this is all about. Received mixed reactions but none were what I was hoping for. I tried very hard to explain it. People don't get the huge ramifications for women and girls because - I guess - it sounds like madness. I'm starting to think that (like BLM) if we stay quiet we're part of the problem?

Meg I think it’s because most people aren’t on Twitter. They don’t know how extreme the demands are. They don’t know how horrific the abuse is. They don’t know about the complicity of our politicians. None of this is being reported in MSM.

Can I ask those who have had replies if they come from someone at the publishers, or is it her personal team? I drafted an email this morning but I am an author and am afraid that all the reasons I can't be open about this on twitter will still apply if her emails are handled by Bloomsbury. UK publishing is a tiny world, and my twitter timeline today proves it is a ridiculously woke one

I wonder if we can get a message to DR about information released today by two respected charities: Water Aid and Plan International...

They have released data that women and girls are restricted during this lockdown from going out due to no public toilets.

Daniel, being an expert in menstruation, will appreciate that women and girls plan ahead before they go out as access to clean toilets is very much needed when their is a requirement for sanitary products. Women who have experienced childbirth ( obvs including trans women) will appreciate that urge incontinence is a huge issue and public toilets are necessary.
Perhaps he could support these charities?
