I have been lurking on twitter lately and noticed Baroness Nicholson has been very active recently. Amongst her tweets are quite a few gems - letters to Liz Truss, tweets asking for evidence about Stonewall’s involvement CPS guidance just to name two.

This tweet I found very encouraging too.

She has today written to Liz Truss again but this time with her concerns about the gross misinterpretation of the ECHR in the trans toolkits used in schools and recommends that such toolkits are removed from use now. Such support is great news.

It's embarrassing that we have had to oppose what these people are saying, when they are coming across as so, so stupid. Utter nitwits. So many pervs on her thread too. Talking gibberish.

She must be thinking how did anyone ever take anything they said seriously.

That has always been one of the most astonishing things about the situation: that the ludicrous suggestion that some men are actually women was ever a statement that was being taken seriously. This is one of the reasons the Baroness is now cutting through all the bullshit.

Somehow the extensive grooming that has been carried out over years seems to have bypassed her entirely and she has the force of personality to push ahead.

Wonder whether she was too busy doing other things, or whether they avoided her as too difficult to convince,

I hope she has a quiet conversation with Baronness Liz Barker at some point. Possibly pointing out that accusing women raising concerns of being funded by US fundamentalists is not really the done thing.

Not sure Baroness Barker is capable of hearing that message Molten. She is so buried in transactivism that she must have been quashing any doubts about the negative impact of giving women’s rights to men for years. To do an about-face now would involve coming to terms with the way she has been gaslighting herself and the extent of the damage she has done.

I dunno - I’m imagining one face to face with a real person with some intelligence, and the social media meme anime’s aren’t much of a match.

It must be very frustrating when you are trying to cancel someone who simply doesn’t play by the book.

It's so funny. She's not immersed in their culture at all, she's not enough of a wet leftie for the usual manipulation to phase her (whereas most of us were probably phased by it at one point), so none of their spells and incantations are working. It's like they are all dancing around her and shrieking in an increasingly frantic attempt to exorcise the transphobia demons out of her and she's just... standing there, blinking at the madmen and occasionally asking them what the fuck they're talking about.

Remember the first time I ever saw it was when Riley J Denis did a video about it. And I came on here said, oh no, guess what, you'll never believe what they've gone and said now. Truly thinking that they have gone insane and lost the plot entirely.

Would there be more like her if women were not urged to be 'kind' when they are trying to say something, but taught to put their argument forward and say what they mean proper manner without prefacing it with a list of those that they are not offending. Being kind is not saying the 'right words'.

Totally! There is a woman I want to grow up to emulate. Playful, intelligent, alert, astute and hilarious - I can't actually tell how much on purpose.

Being genuinely kind is fucking hard, takes great bravery, hard drudge sometimes, and humility. It's become a trite little word, a pathetic show of sheepish sentiment lately; it's probably well past time we taught people what genuine, effective, non-signalling kindness entails.

Scrimps, love this! This person seem to be genuinely nonplussed by the idea that your birth sex actually IS your sex and you must use the spaces assigned to that sex.

This person writes as if that idea had never occurred to them, that it's so totally preposterous and they can't believe that ANYONE could entertain such a notion.

And her reply is just so perfect... she just sounds so sane and balanced and not a feather ruffled.
