Really pleased to see you're doing this MrsSnippyPants, thank you!

MrsSnippyPants · 12/03/2020 10:43

People are responding to say they have done it so it's worth the effort to keep pushing!

SuperLemonCrush · 12/03/2020 13:24

De-lurking to say that I have completed and submitted. It wasn't as long or difficult as I was expecting, so do give it a shot. Thanks to you all for continuing to foreground these issues.

somanydevices · 12/03/2020 14:05

I'm doing mine this afternoon. How long did it take you?

SuperLemonCrush · 12/03/2020 15:12

I must have spent about 40 mins in total - included reading and cross referencing as well as writing. Hope it goes well!

littlbrowndog · 12/03/2020 15:27

forwomen.scot/

Do it do it do it I am chanting

MrsSnippyPants · 12/03/2020 15:29

Listen to littl!

PaleBlueMoonlight · 12/03/2020 20:59

Can I submit on 17th March? Have done a lot, but am not going to finish tonight.

MrsSnippyPants · 12/03/2020 21:05

I believe so Pale perhaps @GRAconsultationGuidance can confirm?
The closing date is usually the last date for submission.

MrsSnippyPants · 12/03/2020 21:12

I am trying to confirm this but if anyone else knows do please chip in!

PaleBlueMoonlight · 12/03/2020 21:13

Thanks. I assumed I could do it until the 11th hour tomorrow, but the website seems unclear.

MrsSnippyPants · 12/03/2020 21:14

One of the women's groups who wrote guidance is saying ON 17th March is fine.

PaleBlueMoonlight · 12/03/2020 21:41

Thank you!

Luckystar777 · 13/03/2020 19:41

Graham Linehan tweeted that he has completed his :)

334bu · 13/03/2020 20:44

Just submitted mine.

Galvantula · 13/03/2020 21:23

I've been slow at filling it in but just thought fuck it and shared if on fb. 🍷

I'll get it done this weekend.

ReinstateLangCleg · 14/03/2020 09:48

Something to do over the weekend? I submitted mine last week, to be published anonymously.
Hope they hear from as many concerned women as possible.

ReinstateLangCleg · 14/03/2020 09:49

Also - thank you to everyone who wrote the very useful guidance. Really helped make more sense of the questions.

NonnyMouse1337 · 14/03/2020 11:54

Yes I'll be spending this weekend putting the finishing touches on my submission.
Something new keeps popping into my head every day about it and I need to keep rewriting it!

itsor · 15/03/2020 15:12

Thank you, will complete today.

Awning10 · 15/03/2020 15:21

Guidance here if needed.

lgballiance.org.uk/scotland-consultation/

I filled mine in this morning.

OldCrone · 15/03/2020 18:06

Thanks for the link to the LGB Alliance guidance. It suggests as a response to Q1 to mention the lack of a definition of 'living in an acquired gender'. I didn't see this mentioned in the other guidance (although I could have missed it), but I think it is underpins how insane this law would be.

I've been writing my own response today, and I thought this was one of the most important points. What does it mean to live in an 'acquired gender', and how can anyone check whether someone is actually living in their acquired gender (which would be the basis of a prosecution for a false declaration)?

Without a definition of exactly how someone would live in their acquired gender and how anyone could check they were actually doing so, there is no possibility of anyone ever being prosecuted for making a false declaration.

Bumping this to remind everyone that the deadline is Tuesday!

I just submitted mine. If you haven’t done yours yet please give it a go. A word of warning - like some previous posters have mentioned, the proforma answers from FWS and other organisations are quite long-winded and corporate (which is how they should be as organisations) but it can be a bit off-putting when you are replying as an individual.
Please don’t be put off! Even if you only write a sentence for each question, it is more important to make those points and have yourself counted. My response was pithy and succinct but I think I got my message across!

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 16/03/2020 12:05

Bump!
Closes end of tomorrow more guidance available from lgballiance.org.uk/scotland-consultation/ & forwomen.scot

Only 5 questions!

Kit19 · 16/03/2020 12:12

done mine and added in the comments that i was appalled at their process and that I didnt trust them to be honest about the responses they received
