Harry Miller in The Times

Harry Miller speaks in The Times about how the police have adopted Stonewall policies, leading to the insanity of crime non crimes

Speaking ahead of the judgment on the case, which is expected early next month, he said: “I am pro-police. I do not think that the people in the police force have looked at this and thought how can we become totalitarian? “In trying to do the right thing and be inclusive, they’ve done absolutely the wrong thing because they sold out on the core principle of not being political. I think that in so doing they’ve subcontracted out their critical thinking to Stonewall [the lobby group for LGBT rights]

Good luck Harry Smile and thank you

niceberg · 14/02/2020 06:35

Just half heard a headline but missed the critical part about what the judgement actually was. Anyone hear it?

niceberg · 14/02/2020 06:37

Seems early though. Maybe the headline was that a judgement is due.

NonnyMouse1337 · 14/02/2020 06:40

Good luck to Harry and Kate! No matter which way the verdict goes, we are all in this for the long haul. Things have gone way out of control with trans ideology and the social justice movement in general, but more and more people are becoming aware of how this is affecting us all, including trans people who are deeply concerned by what's been going on in their name.

This is a tug of war between an authoritarian ideology that has captured political power in various ways and its devoted adherents who care nothing for compromise and reason VS everyone else. Strap yourselves in because it's going to be a bumpy ride before normality is restored. Smile

LizziesTwin · 14/02/2020 06:46

Harry’s judgement is due at 10.30 this morning.

RuffleCrow · 14/02/2020 06:47

I'm losing faith in democracy and the separation of powers here. The prospect of Britain becoming a police state seems very real. They knew the GRA changes were never going to get through the consultation stage so they changed tact.

When my ex husband tried to kill me, the police declined to investigate.

SarahTancredi · 14/02/2020 07:00

Good luck harry I.have feeling its gonna drag this morning. I'm so nervous about the outcome. We know what it should be but we also know that it's the first step in admitting everyones been taken for idiots and I dont think anyones ready for that. And we know that they will say or do anything to stop that happening.

I have ny fingers crossed for you harry and Kate

TirisfalPumpkin · 14/02/2020 07:23

Thinking of Harry and Kate, and going to be anxious af this morning. I would like to be able to have faith in the system but just don’t any more.

TorkTorkBam · 14/02/2020 07:36

BBC R4 had Harry's case in the headlines and did a short piece too. It was wonderfully sensible.

I am so happy Today staff have finally engaged their brains and found their spines.

tooyoungat40 · 14/02/2020 07:40

Good luck Harry and Team.

ChickenNuggetsChipsAndBeans · 14/02/2020 07:51

Good luck Harry. I think you and your family have been incredibly brave fighting this.

LangClegsInSpace · 14/02/2020 07:57

Good luck Harry!

VortexofBloggery · 14/02/2020 08:01

Good luck Harry

Mossyrock · 14/02/2020 08:05

Good luck Harry and everyone at FairCop

ThinEndoftheWedge · 14/02/2020 08:16

Good luck Harry.

BBC coverage stated about a new law making it easier for a man to be legally recognised as a woman and visa versa. They didn’t state for a trans woman who is actually a woman to be legally recognised as a woman.

Note the use of the word man. Is this hate speech?

Igneococcus · 14/02/2020 08:18

It was even mentioned on the Radio 3 news just now.
Fingers firmly crossed.

mement0mori · 14/02/2020 08:25

Best of luck Harry! This is so important for freedom of speech. With Women's Place and LGB Alliance currently being called out as hate groups we definitely need a great big spanner in the works!

LizzieSiddal · 14/02/2020 08:38

Best of luck to Harry and Kate. Heard the R4 headline too. Let’s hope they are reporting good news later.

zen1 · 14/02/2020 08:43

All the best to Harry today too - another one who heard the R4 headlines.

SoldiersinPetticoats · 14/02/2020 08:47

I am hoping the reporting in mainstream news is a positive sign. Either way the judgement goes, it looks like it will be in the headlines.
Thank you to everyone involved. Their steely courage and resolve is remarkable.

TedsFederationRep · 14/02/2020 08:51

Hoping for a good result - for Harry, for sanity, for us all.

TheRealMcKenna · 14/02/2020 08:51

Best of luck Harry.

PurpleCrowbarWhereIsLangCleg · 14/02/2020 08:52

Good luck Harry!

InTheWomensRoom · 14/02/2020 08:54

Adding my best wishes for Harry and Kate - and also appreciated the mention by the BBC

BovaryX · 14/02/2020 10:46

Fantastic news! Congratulations Harry! What a victory for freedom of speech and well done for fighting this
