High court case on puberty blockers and consent

This week a case starts in the high court with a mother of a teen and a former gids nurse bringing a case that under 18s can't consent to puberty blockers.
Sorry if there is already a thread on this, had a look and couldn't see one.

@FannyCann interesting that he refers to people needing contraception/abortion services as young women and girls. Isn’t that transphobic by his own definition? Hmm

After all, as we all know, men have babies too and it must take advanced medical knowledge to be able to identify which form of contraception is most suitable for their client.

It’s just a bit hypocritical. When women try to talk about certain issues that exclusively affect females they’re called exclusionary or transphobic for using language like ‘girls’ or ‘women’ to define that group. Yet here he is doing the very same thing 🤷‍♀️ Surely it should say ‘contraception for folks with the ability to gestate’ or whatever it is they say 🙄

You’re quite right about the double standard. There’s definitely a rule of misogyny about all this.. Should be Folx or womxyn or some such thing. Girlx Hmm Gyrlx? I
