Charity criticised for handing senior role to Aimee Challenor who defended paedophile dad

A news story in the Mirror. Cant see any other reports on this.

^A police-backed charity for vulnerable young people handed a senior role to a woman who shockingly teamed up with her paedophile dad to try to become an MP.

Prism has been criticised for working with Aimee Challenor - who left the Green Party in disgrace after using her dad as an election agent while on bail accused of raping a 10-year-old.

The charity helps gay, lesbian and trans young people and was hailed as “excellent” by a senior police officer.

But it faces calls to sever ties with Ms Challenor - whose dad David was locked up for 22 years over the child abuse.

She was then criticised in an independent Verita report commissioned by the Greens after complaints about using her dad David during the 2017 general election campaign.

Andy Healey, a Green Party activist and youth worker, described Prism’s decision to work with Ms Challenor as “outrageous and disturbing”.

Mr Healey had raised concerns about the decision to appoint Mr Challenor but was threatened with an injunction, he claims.^

Forgot to add, Rennie ran the network from the computer system of the charity. And yet the police never investigated them (although one officer claimed they had and claimed they cleared them, we know that they did not).

I've been saying this a while.
This is a mens sexual rights movement.
If children can give consent to be medicalised to 'change' sex at twelve they are given agency over their 'sexual' body.
That agency can then be extended to consent to sex at lower ages.
We are all being groomed to accept paedophilia.
Hell mend them.

Languishingfemale · 12/03/2020 11:30

Time after time we find that men involved with children's charities are sex offenders - usually against children and sometimes women. The whole point of the DBS system and safer recruitment policies are meant to be to stop them. But I suppose with so many politicians, charities and local authorities actively promoting porn, drag queens and boundary breaching practices like mixed sex changing and toilet facilities, we shouldn't be surprised at this.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 12/03/2020 17:15

Woman - you've just crystallised the whole thing for me in that post. It was very pithy. It's misogyny/paedophilia dressed as activism.

It genuinely makes me want to cry that people aren't getting it - deliberately or otherwise.

And there was me naively thinking that the days of PIE were over. Hmm

Mockerswithnoknockers · 12/03/2020 17:21

DBS is not fit for purpose. It is easily evaded with a small name change and a lack of honesty about previous addresses.

"If children can give consent to be medicalised to 'change' sex at twelve they are given agency over their 'sexual' body."
I really hadn't thought about it this way before, but now you say it, it really does become that obvious (and worrying). We have already heard about the issues in youth trans groups, for example, with older trans women (certainly not youth), preying on younger trans boys. You can see it in certain gay porn, where young transmen, desperate for validation, are bottoming.

Then the linkage with lesbian and gay rights is even more worrying. When I was a student, I distinctly recall how any attempts to have anyone who was into the whole 'gay men and considerably younger men' style of activism come to talk was totally rejected by the lesbians present, who threatened to leave en-masse before we would let that happen. And that was supposedly, say, older men and 16-17 year olds (illegal at the time BTW). Whereas now with TRAs, we have all sorts of dubious interactions between adults and extremely young kids, with the added, explicit, 'don't tell the parents'.

I am wondering how any newspaper can cover this comprehensively and join the dots without being accused of a witch hunt on gay men.

Of course it wouldn’t be a witch hunt - it is just yet another sphere in which men get access to children. The church. The scouts. Boarding schools. Now youth charities and especially LGBT youth charities because of the fear of being offensive. Nobody cares about being offensive to Catholic priests any more - they have to take it on the chin. But we still can’t say ‘Some of these (gay) men are predators - just like some church men were predators, some scout leaders were predators, some celebrities were predators. And we know this because some men are predators and that seems to be fairly evenly spread across populations of men’

We still can’t say it. Someone needs to print this all in one place and ask why these charities are getting away with it.

** James Rennie was convicted in 2008. He was found to be one of the ringleaders of a pedophile network and got life, minimum term 13 years.

When he was first arrested, he was the head of LGBT Youth Scotland and a respected advisor to both the Scottish and the UK Government on gay issues involving children.**
Could it be possible that Rennie advised the government and influenced the LGBTQ+ direction of schools SRE & PSHE? Would love to find evidence of this.

Not forgetting West Yorkshire and Heathcliffe Bowen. Former administrator for Safeguarding children board and trustee of MESMAC who have a young persons group and also work with male victims of child sexual exploitation.

If children can give consent to be medicalised to 'change' sex at twelve they are given agency over their 'sexual' body.

And all this before puberty so they have no experience of what sexual desires are. I would argue that even 18 is too young to consent to the extreme mutilation of sex change surgery. It shouldn't be allowed before someone is 25 or 30. Similar age at which women can choose to be sterilised.
