I haven’t seen this in a thread but just wanted to register my absolute disgust at this video. What the fuck?

twitter.com/rights_info/status/1186284754825596931?s=21

Thankfully every single comment on the thread was negative and people were expressing their disgust.

Can anyone tell me how to format a UK landline or mobile number so that I can submit a complaint?

Their stupid website is insisting on it and the format doesn't look like any UK number.

I've just used a fake number to fit the formatting. Said it was fake for that reason.

Why an animation, I wonder? Why not just film working prostitutes in Holbeck getting on with their lives, just doing their jobs, having sex with any man with cash, having fun with colleagues, talking to their line managers, just like midwives? Wouldn't that film be really beautiful and effectively show that sex work is totally just like any other job that women with agency choose to do?

Good question, Temporary.

(Channels Horrible Histories movie pitch) "I'm seeing One Born Every Minute, but maybe "One Screwed Every Minute", a heart warming hour of feel-good TV about the camaraderie of women as they service johns down dark back alleys, on their knees in the gutter, an extra quid to take the condom off. Just the sort of heart warming stuff that the TV watching public can relate to..."

BadgertheBodger · 23/10/2019 21:02

I’m pondering it again and I have a nasty feeling they may be equating their personal “Ew! Women giving birth, women dealing with women giving birth, VULVAS ”
With prostitutes entirely understandable “Grim. Another grim rapist. Must pay rent”

I feel like I’ve not made that point very clear but it wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn wokebros think women’s bodies are so disgusting they can’t see how dealing with a birthing woman is different to a prostitute dealing with whichever grim man’s penis she has to encounter.

BarbaraStrozzi · 23/10/2019 21:06

Nail on head Badger. Woke bloke misogynists who think any vulva which isn't a "perfect porn pussy" is as vile as some punter-rapist's syphilitic cock. Yup, the comparison tells you more about the psyche if the woman hating pricks who made the video than it does about anything else.

louiseaaa · 23/10/2019 21:18

I'm reminded of that quote by Germane Greer

"Women have very little idea of how much men hate them."

Lightbulb moment there Badger

louiseaaa · 23/10/2019 21:20

And I was originally going to comment, before I saw Badgers analysis

Women as vessels - either to receive or carry - so dehumanising

Oncewasblueandyellowtwo · 23/10/2019 22:19

We value freedom of speech on our digital spaces very highly.
But we don’t want our websites becoming a place for trolls, spammers or bullies.
These are our house rules:
rightsinfo.org/our-social-media-house-rules/
They set out how we foster a space that sheds light, not heat, on human rights.

That,'s now their pinned tweet.
As Maya Forstater points out,its reminiscent of the NSPCCs you are all bullies, now fuck off T**fs tweet in regards to their employee mastubating in work toilets and recording it.

BarbaraStrozzi · 23/10/2019 22:26

I thought that too, Once.

"We're going to go out of our way to be as offensive and misogynistic as we can towards women, but woe betide any of you point this out - that would be weaally weaally howwible of you, you monstwous wegiment..."

(Dunno why they've suddenly morphed into "Welease Woger" from Life of Brian in my mind, but they have.)

Karabair · 23/10/2019 22:34

Prostituted women aren't human according to Adam Wagner, but the men at RightsInfo certainly are and have the human right (man's right) to shut women down:

What is wrong with this? It reflects policies other media organisations take. Please remember RightsInfo's staff are human beings too. You are anonymous here and so can engage passionately in debates without personal comeback, but for staff in human rights orgs it's not that easy

Karabair · 23/10/2019 22:37

People talk about radical feminists being in a "bubble" but these woke men backslapping one another over 'terfs", wanking to pornhub and helping each other rape and exploit prostituted women are the ones in a real bubble. Nothing touches them.

Women's truth is merely an annoyance to be stigmatised and shut down.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 24/10/2019 08:36

Mmm, I hadn’t realised that responding to the content rights info post with anything other than unequivocal delight made one a troll, spammer or bully

Good to get that cleared up

Karabair · 24/10/2019 10:52

Women are bullies for standing up for women's human rights.

Karabair · 24/10/2019 10:55

I can't believe that person Wagner demanding that women being "sensitive" towards him and his male pals whilst he likens midwifery to prostitution.

Basically all women are wh*res to those men.

BreakWindandFire · 24/10/2019 11:08

'Alex Feis-Bryce is the CEO of RightsInfo, and previously the founding CEO of National Ugly Mugs.'

And is currently a trustee of Mermaids.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 24/10/2019 11:14

jesus - National Ugly Mugs. Talk about missing the fucking point. totally steeped in the unavoidable idea that the starting point is that women's bodies should be for sale, and any solutions must take that into account

from their website

National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is a pioneering, national organisation which provides greater access to justice and protection for sex workers who are often targeted by dangerous individuals but are frequently reluctant to report these incidents to the police. These offenders are often serial sexual predators who pose a huge risk to the public as a whole.

Our values:
We believe in and advocate for the human rights of sex workers including;

the right to self determination
the right to live free from violence
the right to live free from intimidation, coercion or exploitation
the right to work as safely as possible
the right to police protection

that weaselly little 'as possible' tells you everything about their position

Pota2 · 24/10/2019 11:16

Break he’s a trustee of Mermaids? Fucking hell.

OP posts:
Karabair · 24/10/2019 11:18

The right to determination and the right to live free from violence are both removed as soon as a man pays a woman to access her mouth, vagina or anus with his penis.

Pota2 · 24/10/2019 11:49

I mean I 100% agree that women should feel safe in reporting these vile individuals to the police but that is what the Nordic model advocates. I just don’t think that there should be no consequences for abusers. If it’s not illegal to buy sex, what would you be reporting them for? The fact that your mate warned you about them isn’t going to make the police prosecute them is it? Violence that takes place in private will be as difficult to prove as it is now even if prostitution is legalised. And what if the guy in question has a load of mates who will make life difficult if you report him?

I just can’t see how they think that things will get better with complete decriminalisation. Do they think punters will become respectful all of a sudden? Do they think men who use prostitutes will be happy with a system where they have to use condoms, have STI tests and where the women have greater control? The reason they pay for sex is that they want the ability to use a woman’s body with no thought for her feelings. It’s pretty naive to think that it will all become sanitised if legalised. I do think women should be allowed to work together but again, Nordic model would also allow this.

Yep, under the 'people' section here

steelyjan · 02/01/2020 17:13

Simply awful

NatashasDance · 02/01/2020 20:14

I submitted a complaint about this. Long afterwards I got a mealy- mouthed, wishy-washy, nothing wrong with it response. I'd post it but was so annoyed I deleted it.
