CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIPS - Manchester

Heads up - cycling championships in Manchester this weekend, which I hope will be televised so everyone can see that there is a male competing in the female category.

The male competitor has been bragging about setting new records and personal bests in the female category.

I am going to get as many men to watch this as possible, to shed as much light on this as I can. I will be asking local pubs to play it on their TVs. (No pun intended.)

I also hope that no woman will be forced to smile on a podium with a cheat.

There’s a good comment on the Masters Facebook page from a man describing the race as ‘mixed sex’.

HandsOffMyRights · 16/10/2019 07:36

Hope this gets picked up for the absolute farce men are making of women's sport.

Congratulations to the women who took part.

Nobody likes a cheat.

I have seen a couple of comments on twitter suggesting that because McKinnon came second, and not first, it proves TW do not have an advantage over women Confused

No words. Picture says it all.

Its a bullshit argument saying that just because TW don’t win, it justifies their inclusion.
Every single time a man takes a place in women’s sport he takes away a placed from a woman. And the majority of them are mediocre male athletes at best.

A transwomen doesn't have to win to exclude women from their own sporting category.

VickyEadieofThigh · 16/10/2019 09:34

A transwomen doesn't have to win to exclude women from their own sporting category.

THIS. I'm sick to death of the ridiculous comments that are made on this topic, suggesting that it's perfectly fine because transwomen aren't winning Olympic gold medals.

NO. Every single transwoman who takes a place in a women's race or event pushes out a girl or woman who could have competed in her own sport.

NO. Every single transwoman who takes a place in a women's race or event pushes out a girl or woman who could have competed in her own sport.

Amen.

If you have a man on your team, you're a woman down.

One day, this madness will stop, we’ve just got to keep highlighting it-mens sports can be mixed sex and inclusive, keep womens sports just for women.

ForeverFaff · 16/10/2019 11:38

I doubt I will ever really understand it all tbh. The energy required to compel the faked belief in a delusion from others, the lifelong struggle to be 'accepted' (which I think, according to human nature, will never happen) and the loss of any real sort of belonging (beyond their twitter pals)

Is it a case of being in too deep? Once the magic words "I'm trans" have been uttered, there's no going back?

Qcng · 16/10/2019 11:54

Is anyone else slightly suspicious that the cycle path came second, when it would have been very easy to come first for them.

I can't help but think RM chased the winner and held back, because the game for RM isn't the sport, it's their reputation.

They would have known coming first would be bad for the reputation of transwomen in sport, so they chose not to.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this.

SnowyZ · 16/10/2019 12:07

That definitely crossed my mind @Qcng. But the times are very close so not sure if it's possible to come second that precisely. Or maybe they still wanted to win but not by a huge margin so thought they were holding back enough to win but accidentally came second.

You know how those Ad choices / Google ad things on the right (computer version) sometimes reflect the content of the thread you're reading? e.g. I've seen ads for 'top divorce lawyers' on LTB relationships threads, for wedding venues on wedding-drama threads etc.

Well, scrolling through this, Ad choices has chosen to show me ads for The Times's rugby coverage, featuring some very granite-faced men, then some fairly gender-neutral shoes, now for a clothes shop I'd looked up recently but, whereas I was searching womenswear, this ad is for men's.

The internet is trolling itself.

🚨 Diplomatic source: EU are telling HMG that DUP “is an unreliable partner” and hampering deal closing.

1922 committee meeting lasted 8 minutes.

Sorry wrong thread

AsAhDiSeh · 16/10/2019 16:53

Why change your name to Rachel if you're still going to look like a bloke?
