In the eligibility section of that job ad they mention gender but forget sex.

On re-reading they include sex the second time they are listed in the eligibility section burning reading the job description it's difficult to see how LGBT training in schools is part of the remit. Which senior staff member signed it off?
The job description does say EIA on their policies is part of the job role, would be interesting to see the one on mixed sex changing facilities in the service.

If you get a message from school that the fire brigade are coming to do a talk you assume it's to do with not playing with matches or electrics, not preferred pronouns. It feels insidious. Especially, as a PP said, if she was in any kind of uniform.

Transgender trend are working hard to provide some balance to the TRA juggernaut in schools.

If you haven't looked at Transgender Trend's Twitter lately, I'd recommend it. They've got a campaign #enoughisenough to challenge the current trend of - apparently anybody now - going into schools to tell children if they don't like football & fighting they might be a girl.

I don’t get it. They could be sending firefighters into the schools (ensuring a female FF is there too) to talk about what they do. What’s all this gender ID nonsense?

Unless we are in some country in the ME where women have (yes really) burned to death rather than be saved in their nighties or by an unknown male (not their choice).

And FWIW my niece is a kick ass team leader of a fire crew. She’d be brilliant to go and speak to little girls (and boys) thinking about being a FF) also very beautiful and glam - not that this matters a gnats). Unless she tells stories about what the job really entails (there isn’t enough money in there works for me to do what she does).

What happened to that gulag everyone was going to if they refused to toe the party line? I’d sooner go there than join this insanity.

I’ve got to go to work this week and explain to managers why I will be unable to work for them if they make the toilets mixed sex.

In NI our emergency services are under such pressure that fire fighters are being trained as paramedics. So nice to see London Fire Brigade have plenty time and resources on their hand

Indeed. These training sessions do appear to be disproportionately aimed at children.

Oh and my niece went to visit a couple of stations when she was over here - she said their kit was very outdated compared to what she has.

Maybe they should spend this money (as these advisers seems to make a nice living out of this l) on updating their kit?

Nope. My niece trained with men and sat the same exams and physical tests as the men. She came top of the class.

Nothing about this makes sense. I have read the job description and it is entirely focused within the organisation.

Also, are school assemblies are booked over a month in advance? I wonder if this was a speaking engagement she had a stonewall and carried across to her new employer.

Also, surely the Fire Brigade has social media policies. Maybe she was too busy 'educating' children to complete her induction.

These children living in Bow, East London have been let down on so many levels.

Not least of which is that many of them will live in tower blocks.

Many of them will have parents who are in the early stages of learning English.

Many of them will be the public advocates for their families when liaising with landlords etc.

Of course, nothing about the legacy of Grenfell could be as important as telling children that they can change sex, but I hope Abby found a moment or two to mention smoke alarms, escape routes, safer cooking practices, lobbying landlords etc. during her riveting presentation.

Can I ask what training you have had to be delivering personal and social education to schools? It just seems odd that the fire service is needed for this when we have trained teachers in schools.

As Datun and Popchyck have pointed out, these individuals and organisations repeatedly target children and schools. Now why is that I wonder??.....

That's the thing though. Where did the money for this training come from? I just did a search and came up with this for example:

So charitable bodies can give money to a service. They might then operate using the good name of service and the service gets some desperately needed extra cash? Worrying.

She bizarrely told people she'd googled for them and linked to the normal school visits section, which doesn't mention anything but (wait for it) fire safety!

If I was the actual education manager there I'd be really cross. They do lots of crucial work with schools. This undermines that.

Why is she telling 11 & 12 year olds how to change the sex on their passports?

This is all creepy, what the hell is going on ???
