Hi @MNHQ

Please could you let us know the numbers of visitors to this board since the last published figure? (June 2018)

Thank you! Smile

Not seen a "lady penis beaker" thread yet NeedMore, but the day is not yet done.

Sexnotgender · 01/07/2019 16:33

I’d be interested to know too. Surely it can’t be hard to pull the figures.

OrchidInTheSun · 01/07/2019 16:34

I suspect Islan's marketing qualifications are about as robust as Green's IT ones

EmpressLesbianInChair · 01/07/2019 17:44

Mimmymum is showing approximated figures for Mumsnet.com from one of the sites that provides them.

She’s omitted to mention that figures like this are notoriously inaccurate.

Needmoresleep · 01/07/2019 18:34

Hands

"Not seen a "lady penis beaker" thread yet"

Just think of the range of exotic threads we could have had if Justine not allowed MN to become a GC refuge. "Does my packer look big in this?" "AIBU: My wife won't let me wear her clothes" "What to look for in a surrogate" "how to increase sensation in a neo-vagina" "the hormones in the five day chicken are interfering with the ones I take", "The best way to wash rubber-wear".

HandsOffMyRights · 01/07/2019 18:50

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

StealthNinjaMum · 01/07/2019 19:23

place marking

PaleBlueMoonlight · 01/07/2019 19:47

My sense is that traffic may be less, partly because there are fewer posts covering the basics, so it less useful to those new to this, and partly because the debate is more mature (many of us have a very good grip on the issues) and therefore there is more real life activism and real life conversations taking place (I am certainly much more vocal on this than ever before).

I think we are at a critical time with some windows opening where women are being allowed to put across their concerns and this is where our focus now needs to be. I feel that we are closer to being able to have proper dialogue on this and I am certainly spending time making sure that I listen more attentively to the wide range of voices under the transgender umbrella, so that any conversation and activism can be constructive. That said, I am always on here - it is my main source of information as to where and when activism is needed!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 01/07/2019 20:00

If this board was negatively affecting MN stats in any way, Justine would be racing to the delete button.

Yet here we are. Curiouser and curiouser.

PencilsInSpace · 01/07/2019 20:35

We tend to point people at the break it down for me thread if they have basic questions. Would a new thread be useful do you think, or more of us answering basic questions on threads as they arise?

I also wonder whether traffic may have dropped a bit because quite a few of the best posters have either been banned or have left/massively cut down on posting because they're sick of the amount of coercive gaslighty bullshit they're expected to put up with.

I think FWR is an incredible resource and it brings loads of clicks to the site. MNHQ should cherish it. I worry they're in danger of killing the golden goose.

Shinsplints · 01/07/2019 22:27

Also following with interest...just like a PP, I hop on here & twitter regularly to keep up to date with all the key issues but I also see it as my duty to talk IRL to as many people as possible. So my overall personal usage of FWR could be lower simply due to number of hours available in the day and this may be true for lots of us. Hopefully there will be many more lurkers learning more about it all though.

2BthatUnnoticed · 02/07/2019 08:21

Well I for one am expecting traffic to be down - didn’t a lot off people get in a big (understandable) huff with all the word policing, and decamp?

(Please come back we miss you Smile )

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 02/07/2019 08:24

I think a lot of the people who generated really quality content did get to a point where they felt unwelcome here. But I suspect there’s enough people still hanging around that the numbers will be decent

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 02/07/2019 10:21

The Eyes should really think a bit harder.

They spend so much effort and time leaping on any perceived infraction in a desperate, flailing attempt to shut it down.

Do they think if they succeed in deleting a post on MN, that we somehow just stop communicating? That we don't meet in homes and in private? That we don't talk and understand and learn and swell our ranks every day? That previous "allies" are turning to us and saying "sorry, we didn't see it at first..."

Women everywhere are wearing Dangerous Coats. More and more every day.

I guess that's why they are called Eyes and not Brains...

2BthatUnnoticed · 12/07/2019 11:53

Brew for hardworking mods.. is there an update on this?

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 24/07/2019 12:14

just a heads up that numbers have been released here

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3595592-Request-to-MNHQ-for-feminist-board-data-2019?watched=1&msgid=88787574#88787574

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 24/07/2019 12:15

and a copy of my post from that thread:

Just gone back and compared to the thread from last year

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3276312-Would-MNHQ-be-open-to-sharing-some-info-with-us

interestingly it appears that entrances to the site are down

June 2018 26m entrances
June 2019 18m entrances

So if those numbers are correct:

in June 2018 0.7% of the site entrances were via FWR
In June 2019 1.4% of the site entrances were via FWR

crikey

FormerMediocreMale · 24/07/2019 12:29

Oh dear looks like Islan's figures were not quite accurate Grin

From 177 to 246k that's impressive. I'm one of the extras brought here because MN allows women a voice and is allowing us to discuss the important impact trans ideology has on us.

2BthatUnnoticed · 24/07/2019 12:34

39% increase in traffic to FWR.

Now 246,000 visitors per month v 177,000 last year (I recall someone saying this is unique visitors but not sure).

On the other hand - traffic to other parts of MN is down - interesting.

heathspeedwell · 24/07/2019 17:21

So almost a quarter of a million visitors a month to FWR, that is quite incredible.

Thanks to all the hard-working mods but most of all thanks to all the brilliant women on here who are providing a voice of reason in these troubling times.

youllhavehadyourtea · 24/07/2019 21:35

39% increase in traffic to FWR.

wow. just wow Grin

littlbrowndog · 24/07/2019 22:19

💪🍺🍺

littlbrowndog · 24/07/2019 22:22

1/4 of a million. Wow

sackrifice · 24/07/2019 22:23

Fucking hells bells.

OvaHere · 24/07/2019 22:30

That's amazing. What we've achieved via this board is brilliant.
