Apparently "gender" can be inherited - using the word sex would mean children wouldn't understand.
We are really going to work hard to dig ourselves out of this hole. Well gone to Fair Play fro Women to getting it in the news.

OT but, didn’t the NERG thing get complaints from parents? Or is it just ‘new fangled’ methods of teaching maths that seem to cause an issue.

Why would parents complain? The only odd thing was saying NERG instead of energy. Otherwise it was a fairly old fashioned teaching sequence. And the kids all knew we meant energy anyways, so...
