Protest outside Stonewall Conference by Visible Lesbians

In her speech, Penny Mordaunt didn't have to remind the audience that they were living in turbulent times. There were protesters outside. Grin

She didn't have to remind the people who had paid up to £400 for a ticket that things weren't going to plan.

Too right. There were women outside singing bawdy songs about the difference between the sexes.

She told the audience that she couldn't promise to please all the people all the time. In other words, self i/d was going tits up and there was nothing she could do about the resurgence of a noisy resistance movement.

Pandora's box has been opened.

Women will never go back into the box.

Hear us roar (well not roar exactly - hear us sing, more like!)

Thumbs up and a round of applause to wonderful lesbians

Hannah's description of the speeches and atmosphere sound exactly like an MLM conference.

"the most powerful male rights movement since the first army was invented"

Too right. Awful to hear that another lesbian woman has been physically manhandled all to defend the trans agenda.

Love the photo of the milk jugs. Sums it all up.

Given the size of the turnout shouldn't they have called themselves 'Barely Visible'?

ZebrasAreBras · 29/04/2019 14:05

"So the next time staff came for me I started shouting as loudly as I could, over and over, 'Transwomen are Men! Stop Transing Children! Let Lesbians be Lesbians! Transing children is Child Abuse! '. This attracted a lot of attention. People filmed and took photos. Two large people stood in front of me to block me. I dodged them and walked around the room, shouting my message like an Old Testament prophet."

Fantastic. Brave, brave woman.

But lesbians ostracised from Stonewall, for being, well, lesbians - on Lesban Day of Visibility - is just unreal. Sex no longer being listed as a factor of inequality - while the Minister for Women and Equalities looks on and and makes speeches about the stunning and brave trans - unbelievable.

The world has lost it's fucking mind.

I think I'll have to retreat into my safe space now (my kitchen with a Brew ) and hyperventilate a bit.

ZebrasAreBras · 29/04/2019 14:08

Someone on that twitter thread mentioned that Stonewall also omitted 'age' as a factor of inequality.

Can't have those old crones or uterus-bearers poking their noses in and getting any equality, can we?

Erythronium · 29/04/2019 14:11

The backlash used to be American news magazines publishing articles about how a college-educated woman over forty was more likely to be shot by a terrorist than find a husband.

Now it's the total erasure of women.
