Protest outside Stonewall Conference by Visible Lesbians

In her speech, Penny Mordaunt didn't have to remind the audience that they were living in turbulent times. There were protesters outside. Grin

She didn't have to remind the people who had paid up to £400 for a ticket that things weren't going to plan.

Too right. There were women outside singing bawdy songs about the difference between the sexes.

She told the audience that she couldn't promise to please all the people all the time. In other words, self i/d was going tits up and there was nothing she could do about the resurgence of a noisy resistance movement.

Pandora's box has been opened.

Women will never go back into the box.

Hear us roar (well not roar exactly - hear us sing, more like!)

Thumbs up and a round of applause to wonderful lesbians

If a person has a penis, he’s a man
If a person has a penis, he’s a man
If he doesn’t want to lose it
Even though he doesn’t use it
If a person has a penis, he’s a man

If a person has a nut sack, he’s a man
If a person has a nut sack, he’s a man
He can tuck it to conceal it,
Let it dangle and reveal it,
If a person has a nut sack, he’s a man

If he amputates his bits, he’s still a man
If he grows a pair of tits, he’s still a man
If the chromosome’s a Y, he will always be a guy
If he isn’t born a woman, he’s a man

SarahTancredi · 27/04/2019 14:17

Good for you!!

EmpressLesbianInChair · 27/04/2019 14:19

Brave women, but I guarantee it won’t be long before the TRA’s personal woke police force will be along to have a word because of reports of a hate crime against non men.

From what I heard, Stonewall called the police twice & both times they turned up, had a brief chat with the protesters, confirmed they had every right to do what they were doing & left again.

Ereshkigal · 27/04/2019 14:22

Stonewall actually called the police on a peaceful protest in a public place? Twice? Hmm

CigarsofthePharoahs · 27/04/2019 14:23

And already the cries of "but that's not very nice!!"
Well boo bloody hoo. If we hadn't been constantly lied to then it probably wouldn't have come to this. But what better way to combat an aggressive lie? An equally aggressive but very funny truth.

placemats · 27/04/2019 14:25

Fannytastic!

EmpressLesbianInChair · 27/04/2019 14:25

Stonewall actually called the police on a peaceful protest in a public place? Twice?

That’s what one of the protesters told me!

placemats · 27/04/2019 14:28

Stonewall called the police out on Lesbian visibility day? I'm going to credit the police with some brains here and praise them for seeing the irony.

FFS! Bonerwall

If the chromosome’s a Y, he will always be a guy

The lyrics won’t have been written by geneticists, and I transcribed verbatim as a PP requested, but I’m aware of the possibility this line may be hurtful to those with Swyer or CAIS.

Hearhere · 27/04/2019 16:36

:o

Michelleoftheresistance · 27/04/2019 16:39

Stonewall. Called the police to report lesbians saying that lesbians are homosexual women.

Grin

Yes, lets get that in all the papers please. Fabulous publicity.

Michelleoftheresistance · 27/04/2019 16:43

I’m aware of the possibility this line may be hurtful to those with Swyer or CAIS.

Oh come on. I don't flop all over the boards wailing that people talking about uteruses working, and pregnancies not ending in disaster and having children is hurtful to me, because I'm an emotionally competent person with a grasp on the fact that my body is an exception to a norm and everybody's life is not all about me. And I've worked through my feelings about that thanks, because it's my responsibility, no one else's, and it's not the job of strangers to police their language constantly to protect me.

In fact I'd find that really quite condescending if they did.

DobbysLeftSock · 27/04/2019 16:46

Oh I'm going to have those songs in my head all day... Grin

hipsterfun · 27/04/2019 17:21

That’s really nice. Thanks, Michelle.

BuzzPeakWankBobbly · 27/04/2019 17:24

I saw the FB live yesterday and was very impressed and heartened.

But I didn't realise Mordaunt was doubling down and actually speaking there too?! Really digging in on her position there, sticking a massive 2 fingers up to everything she's heard from concerned ACTUAL women.

MockerstheFeManist · 27/04/2019 17:48

Good Old Pandora for showing us all her box.

Ereshkigal · 29/04/2019 10:21

Then Ruth Hunt spoke again about 'tensions' i.e. the protesters outside. She said that delegates should not speak to them, and if they absolutely had to go out for a smoke break, they could ask a member of Stonewall staff to go with them! So much for promoting debate and discussion about LGBT rights. Most of them out there were lesbians or concerned parents of young children who are having the transagenda pushed at them in school.

SarahTancredi · 29/04/2019 10:42

Translation- you wont listen to a different viewpoint and we will stop you from doing so.

Isnt that what abusers do? Constantly chaperone their victims about incase they speak to someone?

LangCleg · 29/04/2019 10:52

still calling out my prophecies

Completely brilliant. She does all that and can still make a witch joke. What a sister.

Ereshkigal · 29/04/2019 10:55

I am in awe of her.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 29/04/2019 10:59

Lesbians protesting against stonewall

What a mess they’ got themselves into

TheInebriati · 29/04/2019 11:03

So Penny didn't rock up 2 weeks late and talk about transport?

Why is she minister for Minister for Women and Equalities?

Outanabout · 29/04/2019 11:12

What a brilliant article, and how brave she was! I wouldnt have had the balls to do that.

Saw a brilliant version of Wonderwall on Twitter, Bonerwall, will see if I can find it...

TheMostBeautifulDogInTheWorld · 29/04/2019 11:56

Why is she minister for Minister for Women and Equalities?

Presumably her apprearance at this conference amounted to her formal announcement that "Women" have been officially dropped from the brief. Because ...

twitter.com/FeministRoar/status/1121729423894564864

… Stonewall's presentation on factors driving workplace inequalities left out sex altogether. Completely. Entirely omitted. Not even mendaciously replaced by "gender".

Just … vanished.
