So this is the latest message to intimidate after their idea to compile a list of gc women

While the US has many many problems with conviction and incarceration rates and needs an overhaul in order to create brighter paths for our citizens, at least the inability to hide previous convictions can somewhat protect our citizens.

I am thrilled that we don't have a spent convictions provision - and that those like SH with spent convictions have to disclose them when attempting to travel to the US (and if undisclosed and found out they will likely be barred for life). SH's past illegal and violent activity would certainly bar SH from traveling here. I mean it is the US - we have enough of our own domestic unhinged violent criminals without admitting another one.

SH can change names and cry wolf but they won't be visiting the US anytime soon... because regardless of what SH would like everyone to believe SH is the same person regardless of appearance and name.

SH's rhetoric is tired, narcissistic, vile, and wastes UK legal resources while actual victims of harassment are seemingly ignored. Or fined for reporting her harasser in the case of Shana Grice, who was then murdered by her harasser... ya know but the police are totally making changes to make victims safer (while seemingly focusing on vilifying women via TRA guidance). Tell that to Shana and the future of which she was robbed. We see you.

I believe there are gay and trans mods and posters on kf. Agreed some of the terms used are horrible but I think it's mainly edgelording.

If we could find honest and informative reporting about Hayden and their past criminality, I'd imagine most of us would give Kiwifarms a miss when looking at search results.

Years ago a friend of ours was mugged violently. Took a blow to the head. He died a few years later. There was no link, of course.

How do "spent" convictions work with regards to DBS checks etc?

For example if someone was convicted in the past of affray in an incident involving a golf club, with a charge of assault also being left on file, would this not be disclosed now if this person applied to work with vulnerable people/children? If it was a long time ago and the criminal had legally changed his name, can it never be mentioned?

I don't know enough about it (and I know I could google but I also know MN will be clearer and I'll understand it more ) but I'm interested how and why some convicted criminals think their right to "privacy" is more important than the safeguarding of others.

How can a man convicted of violent behaviour hide these convictions and threaten others if they mention these convictions (that are a matter of public record already?( Surely innocent and vulnerable people deserve protection from harm rather more than a criminal deserves anonymity by virtue of saying he has turned into someone else

They show up. And the checker knows all about them regardless of "gender" at the time.

My mumsnet is the think I can't log onto no matter what I do and so I don't want to have my user names linked to emails that are not throw away accounts so need to de reg

Kiwi Farms is utterly fabulous - I love their honesty

As far as I can work out the rules of KF are ‘say what you like, but don’t complain if we end up coming after you’.

Basically, anything and anyone is fair game, as long as they are pisstake-able.
So it should be fairly easy to adhere to their talk guidelines

I did a search for ‘Mumsnet’ on there, and they have always been (begrudgingly) respectful, even before the recent crossover. Their thread on the NSPCC livechat debacle is a thing of wonder.

I absolutely love the word ‘terves’, by the way. It follows standard English rules (nouns that end in f pluralise to ves, so dwarf/dwarves hoof/hooves etc) whilst subtly making the point that T**F has long ceased to be ‘just a factual acronym’.
I don’t know where it originated, but I learned it from lurking the farms.

In other news, I notice they used to dislike Glinner (dating back to something Gamer Gate related) but posters have recently observed that it looks like Glinner and the Terves called it correctly.
