Both of them tweet quoted SH originally, both of them have deleted that specific tweet. SH replies to Caroline Hirons thanking her for her tweet, that tweet has been deleted.

Anyway, you’re not missing out by not knowing who they are. it’s only really becomes interesting when you look at Sali different circles of friends, one day she’ll get embroiled in the feminism v trans activists and it’ll be interesting to see which way she falls.

VexatiousLitigant · 09/04/2019 21:43

Could someone please pm me the screenshots as well? ta v much

KatvonHostileExtremist · 09/04/2019 22:13

Can't pm screenshots on here I'm afraid. I wish it wasn't so.

In Austria they sell sweets that look just like grey rocks. Bit odd, but true.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 09/04/2019 22:14

Well i do look at the caroline hirons site

Its a very great shame if she has just reacted to the 'mumsnet =bad....anyone who dislikes mumsnet = good' trope

littlbrowndog · 09/04/2019 22:24

Where are you Hayden taking action against the men that murder women

Instead of doing the stuff you are doing to harass women.

Why don’t you turn your work into helping women

Look at recent threads on this forum at the women who are being murdered

Murdered by those who are meant to love them

Just to spend your life harassing women. Look at the threads on here

For once it’s not always about you.

NotTerfNorCis · 09/04/2019 22:27

No point appealing to a narcissist.

Has anyone posted this on the main boards? Every Mumsnetter needs to know about this really. Lots of people believe that this forum is anonymous.

ClosdesMouches · 09/04/2019 23:15

Rufus there was a bit more to the CH situation.
In brief, a couple of years ago on Style and Beauty there was an ongoing discussion about beauty bloggers. It morphed into a separate thread about CH which became a series of at least 3 threads. Some posts were quite unpleasant.
I'd best not say anything further.

GirlDownUnder · 09/04/2019 23:25

Wow TheOtherPamAyres that blog!

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 09/04/2019 23:39

closdes

Thank you for the explanation

my point was kinda that she was doing

'The enemy of my ememy is my friend' type thing

ClosdesMouches · 09/04/2019 23:56

Yes Rufus, exactly.

XXcstatic · 10/04/2019 00:19

I get Sali H and CH being angry about specific threads and MNHQ's lack of action (as they perceive it). It's still incredibly disappointing that they want to see an entire site, run mainly by and for women, and that is an amazing source of support for many, closed down. SH is very explicit on the Twitter thread that Sali & CH liked that closing down MN is SH's aim, so they can't be in any doubt.

I'm sure that there must be any amount of crap out there about Sali & CH (both of whose work I really like, btw) on Twitter & FB. I bet there's loads of horrible misogyny, fantasies of sexual violence etc- no women in the public eye can escape. Yet I don't see them calling for those sites to be shut down. Funny how it's only women who apparently deserve to be silenced Hmm

XXcstatic · 10/04/2019 00:33

LOL at the last line. I hope The Times has its grey rocks handy Smile

ClosdesMouches · 10/04/2019 00:38

Does anyone have a share token? The Times blocks now before reading the first paragraph.

ZebrasAreBras · 10/04/2019 00:46

Oh good article.

I can't do share tokens, Closdes, but you can register for 2 free articles a week.

ClosdesMouches · 10/04/2019 00:49

Thanks Zebras I did register some time ago but still can't access this one. Confused
Steph's Tweet suggests she sees this article as a win. Did Justine throw her users under the bus?

ZebrasAreBras · 10/04/2019 00:56

Er yes, I thought Steph's take on Justine's quote, was lightly strange Confused

Anyway: this line:

Lawyers said that if the personal details provided by “ALittleHelp18” proved to be fake, Mumsnet was not likely to be in breach of the order and that forcing a website to verify the accuracy of all their users’ details would be a step too far.

Looks like Steph is not bringing down Mumsnet anytime soon.

ZebrasAreBras · 10/04/2019 01:02

Sorry, that 'yes' doesn't mean I think Justine threw MN users under the bus - she says she will contest these court orders for user if they ask her to.

It was yes, Steph's take was a little strange seeing it as a 'win.'

GirlDownUnder · 10/04/2019 01:12

Cheers Latin Brew

GirlDownUnder · 10/04/2019 01:21

Good article - simple and concise.

I'm a little confused by SH take tho, as they seem to have taken Justine saying "Mumsnet did not oppose Ms Hayden’s application." as capitulation, or agreement of wrong doing.

Also SH seems to have asked for a users address, and as a PBP they know this info is not part of signing up.

IAmNotInvisible · 10/04/2019 01:27

Thanks for the share Latin.

Agree, Steph's tweet is really odd. Do they think no one will read the article for themselves?
