Just that really.

Let's hope that 2019 brings a level of sanity to the whole trans debate.

Any wishes for the next year?

Happy 2019 to all you wonderful women. Let's hope there's more weight put on evidence and reality in the New Year. Lavish Wine and Gin to those who drink. I'll stick to the box of chocolates I happen to have about my person...

MargueritaPink · 31/12/2018 21:54

I'm supposed to be at a party but took sumatriptan too late to prevent a migraine. What I would like personally for the New Year is for Migraleve Pink to be available again (pharmacists have been out of stock since July) as Imigram and Buccastem M don't work as well.

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 31/12/2018 21:57

Happy new year all you fab people of FWR. You have changed the world this year and may it continue in 2019. I wish for protection for women, children and for trans people, but not at the cost of women and children’s rights.

Yambabe · 31/12/2018 22:01

Happy new year.

Here's to continuing to make women's voices heard, and making people realise that they can be who they want without encroaching on sex-based boundaries.

For me personally, I'll be speaking out more and hoping to actually get to some WPUK/FPFW meetings and meet some of you Smile

GrinitchSpinach · 31/12/2018 22:04

Happy New Year, wonderful women!

In 2019, may many more journalists (and their editors and publishers) not only connect the dots, but summon the courage to PUBLISH the connections. May this then embolden politicians who have private doubts to voice them publicly.

Also, may there be continued and increased cooperation between women of all political stripes, ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds who recognize that women are oppressed as a SEX class.

Bowlofbabelfish · 31/12/2018 22:27

Happy New Year Wine

welshgendercrit · 31/12/2018 23:01

Happy New Year to you all and thank you so much for all the wisdom and insight. Flowers I'm a late-comer to gender-critical feminism and the second half of 2018 has been a steep learning curve, but you've helped so much. Here's to a more rational 2019.

sackrifice · 31/12/2018 23:04

HNY all.

Happy new year everyone! Thanks for teaching me and giving me the tools to speak to other women.

May this new year be the year when people with a lot more power than us have the guts to speak up.

🍹to those who drink alcohol, 🥤to those who don’t

GoulashSoup · 31/12/2018 23:18

Happy new year and thank you from mostly a lurker. I really appreciate the education you wonderful women have provided.

Thanks to you I have been speaking up and speaking out to those around me. The ripples reach further than the splash so please keep rocking the boat!

NotTerfNorCis · 31/12/2018 23:20

Happy New Year everyone! Wine I'm so glad this site is here. We won't be silenced!

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 31/12/2018 23:24

Happy new year!

NotAnotherFeckingMuftiDay · 31/12/2018 23:25

I'm feeling a bit daunted about next year - I spent a lot of time today reading a long thread on Twitter that DrEm wrote back in May. It was about paedophile strategies to become accepted and was grim.
I'm comforting myself by reminding myself that we are so much more organised and activated going into this year compared to last year. It was also fantastic to meet so many brilliant GC women (including loads of Mumsnetters) this year and I'm looking forward to more of that next year.
Happy New Year to you all Wine

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 31/12/2018 23:25

Happy new year to a fantastic collection of women. I consider myself a learning lurker and I thank you all for your time, knowledge and generosity.

DangermousesSidekick · 31/12/2018 23:35

Good luck for 2019. I'd like to see the return of common sense in all areas of Britain and the ability to critique plans that clearly aren't working even if they are some head honcho's pet project, no matter how high the head honcho's head is (up to and including Brexit, as well as TRA). Stop chasing the big bucks and work on securing the bread and butter. Not much really.

ErrolTheDragon · 31/12/2018 23:36

Happy New Year everyone.

Macareaux · 31/12/2018 23:39

Ooh Happy new year dear vipers.
Here is to continued and accelerated progress in 2019 upholding and reclaiming the rights of actual women.

Vegilante · 31/12/2018 23:45

Happy New Year to everyone here! Thanks for leading the way. I've learned so much from you & all your intelligent, well-researched threads. There have been many days/weeks when Mumsnet has been the saving grace that's prevented me from sinking into total despair about the totalitarian tyranny that's out to rob women & children of our essential rights & protections.

Thanks as well for allowing people from outside the UK like me to be part of this community. I hope 2019 brings health & happiness to all.

littlecabbage · 31/12/2018 23:52

Happy New Year!! Thank you to the FWR stalwarts who have taught me so much this year. I will be back in 2019 to learn more, hone my critical thinking more and bring feminism into my daily life as much as possible.

WeRiseUp · 31/12/2018 23:55
