Long time lurker, first time poster. This link was shared on one of my networks today and it’s very useful - unpicking various claims by trans activists including that half of trans children attempt suicide or that sex attacks by ‘never happen’.

There’s an apt quote from Chris Morris in Jam.

Surely it is a parody. Like the picture of an Apollo rocket on the launch pad with the moon in the frame offered as proof of a hoax because 'the rocket wasn't even pointing at the moon'.

Just a query, on the fact checker, the bit about number of attacks on women, there is a reference to “transgender males” which the fact checker “debunker” ingenuously pretends to be confused about. But this means trans women doesn’t it?

Yes, agree that's slightly confusing. They should have kept to the same term for both figures.

Also, generally speaking (and I know no one person can speak for everyone) are people on these threads as opposed to transgender men (women to men transitioners) as they are to transgender women?

I not opposed to either of them. They can dress how they like and call themselves what they like. It’s a free country.

I’m very happy that they have the same rights as everyone else, as long as they don’t remove mine.

I just don’t want biological males in women’s safe spaces, getting women’s awards, redefining the word “women” , speaking for women, removing women’s legal protections and playing women’s sport.

It’s quite simple really.

REALITY This statistic comes from a questionnaire filled in by a self-selecting group of just 27 transgender young people, far too small a group to meet normal statistical standards. In reality, child suicide is extremely rare. A study of Serious Case Reviews found no suicides of trans children in the UK in the last 10 years. Despite this, the threat of child suicide is used regularly by transgender lobby groups to press parents into transing their children. It is irresponsible to quote the survey without highlighting the very small sample size and flouts guidelines on reporting suicide by the Samaritans.
