It is an oddly interesting topic, perhaps it is so everyday but so important.

A long time ago I heard a talk about school toilets. If teenage girls (40%+) do not feel comfortable they do not go, which means they do not drink. There was some pretty strong research which pointed to the issues this created.

That’s paper is amusing on many levels.( positive, thanks rowant ) The amount of justification about using the word woman as femal bodied person ...,

NOt at the end yet but it seems limited it geographic (western society) and time scope ( communal roman loos not mentioned when talking about multi user facilities ).

But what i find most amusing is THE idea being promoted by some that sex segregation of toilets is recent example of patriarchy in action. Historically so much of life was sex segregated that surely you would be better to argue that the sex segregation of toilets was the last remnant of patriarchy not a recent example of patriarchy in action
