Wtf?

AssassinatedBeauty · 09/10/2018 18:29

What utter self absorbed codswallop. Talk about trying to wedge a currently popular ideology into science in some misguided attempt to appeal to young people.

PipGoesPop · 09/10/2018 18:37

Am I fucking tripping or what?

Utter wanky bollox

FermatsTheorem · 09/10/2018 18:40

I suspect that the person featured in that clip couldn't tell you the difference between Schrodinger's equation and the Dirac equation if their (zir, xir, oh fuck, I dunno) life depended on it.

The twitter commenters are not impressed though Grin.

KatVonGulag · 09/10/2018 18:41

Arrghhh
This person!
They were filmed doing the most... erm what words... special exotic style dance at the anti Trump demo. Family fun! What a great role model! Thanks BBC.

Mind you, I have always found that ancient Sanskrit texts have helped me relate to my inner aardvarkness.

The fact that I know no Sanskrit, nor have any background in history or cultural studies which would enable me to understand the texts, has not hampered me in this in the slightest.

In fairness, I don't think there's anything in the tweet (it's on the BBC general twitter feed, and was on their "news" website) to indicate it's aimed at children.

Other than the fact that it clearly operates at a lower conceptual level than either the Tellytubbies or In the Night Garden.

UpstartCrow · 09/10/2018 18:48

How do you identify as a Muslim?

TerfedOff · 09/10/2018 18:51

Sorry I'm used to the BBC bitesize things with the kids. Thought it was one on physics. My mistake. Still bonkers though.

SheepyFun · 09/10/2018 18:53

and where to start with the physics....

tediousnamechange · 09/10/2018 18:53

I'm starting to think that clowns come under the category of queer. 🤡

Elephantinacravat · 09/10/2018 18:59

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the twitter commenters aren't buying it 😂

ErrolTheDragon · 09/10/2018 19:00

I can't quite bring myself to watch the video but is this by any chance the sort of 'quantum' fruitloopery which regularly features in the New Scientist 'feedback' columns?

FermatsTheorem · 09/10/2018 19:01

Errol I fear it lacks the intellectual gravitas to make it into the "Feedback" column.

FFSFFSFFS · 09/10/2018 19:01

I genuinely found his sexualised crotch shot offensive

placemats · 09/10/2018 19:15

Jimmy tried it with the doctors.

Physicists are trying it with the physics.

"If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics."

littlbrowndog · 09/10/2018 19:17

Don’t bother using all these words to identify yourself. A right state will do it
😂😂😂

placemats · 09/10/2018 19:18

That guy needs to have a word with John McClean.

RedToothBrush · 09/10/2018 19:25

Dr Who is not real.

Repeat after me.

Dr Who is not real.
Dr Who is not real.
Dr Who is not real.

donquixotedelamancha · 09/10/2018 19:28

Just sent this to my school's head of Physics :-)

BobbinThreadbare123 · 09/10/2018 19:36

OK, I've lurked here becoming GC long enough. Now they've pissed me off. Leave physics alone!
