Just seen him referenced on a Fionne thread, so I looked him up. Erm, wtf? He’s taking the piss, right? Is he taking the piss? Is it satire? Or not...because actually quite useful make-up tips. But what’s with the accent? I am so confused.

I once sat between a northern Irish friend and her southern Irish new flat mate (incidentally Cillian Murphy's brother ❤️) in Glasgow and had to occasionally translate for each other. Which shows how culturally diverse Ireland is!

Also rather impressive if I couldn't tell John was Scottish!

My favourite bit in the comments is where someone says he should teach English so 'everyone can learn how to speak in cursive'. Perfect.

sophocles apologies if my comment came across as a bit patronising -I live in the central belt so the islands accent does sound unusual and rather lovely to me!
I think a lot of people outside of Scotland don't realise how diverse the accents are- even the next town over sounds different to where I live. I find people's voices fascinating!

I’m from the highlands so the accent doesn’t seem that odd to me. It sounds as though he’s channelling the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie crossed with Stornaway. I keep expecting him to say, girls you are the creme de la creme.

Interestingly in one of his Q&As, he takes issue with using the word ‘Queer’. And that gender is very much of its time. He really gets it!

I’ve got similar colour eyes to him, I’m going to have to try some of his eye make up techniques as his eyes look amazing!
