Quite an interesting story this one.

www.thesun.co.uk/news/7394735/mum-duped-into-sex-by-transgender-man-with-fake-penis-says-shell-never-trust-another-man/

"he still had a woman’s body"

(say what?)

"she revealed Delacruz had an op to have his boobs removed — but tricked her into believing it was surgery for his burn scars."

Aren't we supposed to believe that 'top surgery' is just making these transmen their true authentic selves, as opposed to the viciously misassigned gender they were given at birth.

Has anyone heard the word 'tricked' in the context of a transwoman in the MSM lately, except possibly in the context of 'oh my god it's so transphobic to say transwomen are 'tricking' people'.

"“Our relationship was a lie. He still had a vagina. "

"used a “blood and flesh” prosthetic "

Still no idea what they are referring to here. Are transmen who have had phalloplasty going to be imprisoned as well?

Is anyone getting the slightest cognitive dissonance at a 'man' having a vagina, using 'he' pronouns, and then being imprisoned for not having a penis.

Has anyone heard from our TRA chums about why this authentic transman is being described as a 'pervert' and 'no-willy sex sicko'. They don't seem the slightest bit perturbed.

It's almost as if the entire thing is a sexual rights movement for people with (actual) penises.

Any chance of the hundreds of thousands of women subscribing to transman ROGD propaganda on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXX0iCrVQnlNvGW4gKEhHdA www.youtube.com/channel/UCHSIA2JRC5PWvUX4Sl8OrcA) ever learning how 'tricking' women into sex could land them in prison, across the media as 'sex sicko' 'pervert' etc.

I doubt it somehow.

There are movements being made within TRA activism to remove 'sex by deception' from the statute book. I believe this is a crime which disproportionately affects transmen. I am sorry I have no references to hand it's quite early and I might need some coffee.

TurfClub · 02/10/2018 10:14

Note that she regards the use of binders, much recommended by trans charities, as deception as well

Lisa said: “I found out later he had been wearing restrictive vests underneath his shirts the whole time.

“He went to Birmingham for the operation and when I saw him five days later, I even saw the scars but a mastectomy obviously didn’t even enter my mind — why would it? I thought he was a man."

There was another one of these strange stories a few days ago. This one was not trans related but the basic concepts around consent are the same.

Shows how desperate men are for sex, if they just stop to think for a minute they might realise it will be highly unlikely to be a woman that they will be meeting. It is a frequent male fantasy but very rare in women to have sex with a total stranger.

MissSusanSays · 02/10/2018 10:33

This is where the issue of consent become absolutely key to the debate. Consent is the corner stone of defining sexual assault. How could you over turn the sex by deception statute and not have a knock on effect on that?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/10/2018 12:37

Gayle Newland is another case.

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/gayle-newland-guilty-latest-sexual-assault-trial-woman-poses-man-trick-friend-sex-prosthetic-penis-a7814771.html

Odd that it seems to be females who end up being charged and prosecuted.

TurfClub · 02/10/2018 12:50

Odd? Or entirely predictable

The Newland case is a very strange case. In light of various successful defences against rape including the "I tripped and fell" I was astonished she was found guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

Penny1976 · 02/10/2018 13:01

Yes I read a story about a trans woman finding their glorious true self and having sex with literally thousands of men without telling them.

Danaquestionseverything · 02/10/2018 13:06

Sad story all round really. It reminds of a true crime podcast I've listened to about Eugenia Falleni goggle them (ugh pronoun stuff is doing my head in). Fascinating but tragic listening. Although depending what you read it can be confusing as to whether Eugenia was a lesbian that has been posthumously transed, something that strangely seems to happen a lot these days, or an actual transman that society at that time didn't have the words for.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/10/2018 13:08

Odd? Or entirely predictable

I'm not sure if I was being ironic, sardonic or sarcastic, but yes, predictable.

noeffingidea · 02/10/2018 13:15

These people are sex offenders in my opinion, both male and female.
I do find it really strange though that people seem willing to have sex with people while blindfolded, or without being completely familiar with their bodies, or allowing themselves to be penetrated without seeing and touching the thing they're being penetrated by. I just can't get my head round it. I'm aware this sounds like victim blaming but I'm thinking more of personal boundaries and how to assert them.

DuckingGoodPJs · 02/10/2018 13:16

Odd? Or entirely predictable
Yes indeed.

noeffingidea · 02/10/2018 13:20

Yetanotherspartacus I think men who are deceived by transwomen into sex are very unlikely to go to the police, which is why prosecutions are unlikely. The transwoman in this situation is more likely to be at risk of violence.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 02/10/2018 13:21

I'd guess cases involving transmen go ahead because the victims want justice in the public sphere. Men who find out they've had sex with a man who identifies as a woman rather than the woman they believed her to be are more likely to want to keep it secret (due to internalised homophobia) and/or to take direct retributive action.

I deplore violence against anyone but it seems to me that lying to anyone about what sex you are in an intimate setting is not likely to end well, whether it's legal action or being punched.

Those poor women must feel so cheated. Having someone work that hard to make a fool of you would affect your ability to trust for a long time.

seafret · 02/10/2018 13:23

What this Delacruz case says to me is that all the enabling and secrecy and illusion surrounding being trans and hiding one's true sex with dogma and law, surgery etc, only serves to reinforce some trans people's sense of narcissism and utter lack of empathy.

They certainly made a good stab at changing gender though didn't they - quite the male pattern offending. We'll have to thank internalised misogyny for that one.

Obtaining sex by deception is a heinous crime I think. Both physically and mentally abusive and I agree yetanother , fundamental to issues around consent. But then the whole trans ideology fucks up reality, boundaries and informed consent.

I can't say I am happy at the prospect of transmen who have committed sexual offences against women (especially with phalloplasty) being housed with women prisoners either. Female they may be but it is another head fuck for the women prisoners that they don't need. They ought to be kept completely segregated from women at least until they have shown true remorse and contrition.

What a fuck up some human's have made of this world.

Miladymilord · 02/10/2018 13:26

He really does look like a man in the suit photos. Much more so than a mtf transperson

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/10/2018 13:35

I was thinking of transgender women identifying as lesbians raping women.

hackmum · 02/10/2018 13:43

This is a curious one. Gay man tricks heterosexual men into sex by pretending to be female:

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6218075/Gay-man-tricked-four-straight-men-sex-posing-woman-apps-including-Tinder.html

LittleMissedTheSunshine · 02/10/2018 13:48

I saw a horrible jeremy kyle once where the subject was a transwomen coming clean to their boyfriend that they were actually be-penised (obvs in this situation they were just dating and had not had sex involving genitals yet.)

The boyfriend just jumped up and started punching the transwoman before security separated them.

Horrible subject for entertainment.

Didactylos · 02/10/2018 14:06

Is it terrible that i read that article and the first thing I need to do is make a joke about being a boylady from Banknock?

But in all seriousness, sex by deception in such cases makes a mockery of consent, and is a horrendous example of the emotional manipulation and gaslighting that the narrative of ' living as your authentic self' begets. When you believe you are something you are fundamentally not, and will never be, how could that in any way be construed as authentic? The continued demand for acceptance of this untruth will always conflict with reality: in this case two women who were tricked and duped into relationships built upon a fundemental lie, and had their autonomy and choices manipulated.

The women who were duped into relationships with undercover police officers have bravely spoken about similar stories and the emotional and psychological fallout from such deceit: I hope the victims of this individual get the help and support they need.

hackmum · 02/10/2018 14:29

It's interesting legally. It is against the law to have sex with someone by deceiving them into thinking you're the opposite sex. But surely the logic of "trans women are women" and "If I say I'm a woman, then I am a woman" is that no deceit is involved? Surely if the govt wanted to follow this self-ID business to its logical conclusion, it would mean that this kind of deception is no longer illegal?

It's almost as if no one really believes that trans women are women, or trans men are men. I'm reminded of that guy on Twitter who said thought trans women are women, "except for relationship purposes".

MoltenLasagne · 02/10/2018 15:40

Poor woman - I once discovered a man I was dating was married and that was violation enough. This is surely a form of sexual assault if the woman was consenting to PIV but wasn't aware there wasn't a penis?

SuffragettesStruggledForThis · 02/10/2018 16:25

Apart from the obvious deceit, I was struck by how much pain this woman was put through during sex. Very painful, like sandpaper, really heavy bleeding, severe friction burns, needing the next day to recover - and her partner was still pushing for it! No regard for her well-being at all, and it can't have bought the perpetrator that much direct pleasure, since it came down to holding a prosthetic. So either using her to fantasise about fucking her as a man would or just plain sadism.

I'm surprised that she kept agreeing to it, though I know many women out there put up with sex that's at best uncomfortable and not pleasurable to them if not outright painful.
